What would you like to have see him do? Honest question.

What this season?

Behave, I have not got time or the will to get into it further tonight but if you seriously think he hasn't been able to do anything other than what he's doing most weeks then you need to take the Brendan Blinkers off

I think the bulk of rational City fans have done exactly what Rodgers has done this season and placed all of our eggs into the European basket

If we whimper out on Thursday, I can see a real turning point

Why we’ve accepted the past few weeks of league rubbish have been in the pursuance of that one aim

If that’s gone too, the patience will be gone I think

Ive never known us have a manager that still has so many fans on side yet he is almost blatantly happy to throw certain games with his team choices and tactics.

And the media and many fans still lap it up

BR would not have played such a weak team today if he hadn't been forced to manage so many of our first XI back from injury. He had no choice.

I think the key is whimpering out, if we go over there and passively ‘control’ the game with 60% of the ball and get beat without any real attempt on goal then its going to be really toxic around the club for a while.

If we lose we lose but this game more than any in our history the absolute minimum is that we should really be going all in. How many other chances will we get to go to a European final?

Not sure you are strengthening your position here.  lol
You stick to your righteous indignation though.

If we lose on Thursday do you seriously expect him to put out a second string every other game? He’ll play the strongest eleven in every game.

We fought hard away at Rennes and Eindhoven, don’t expect us to wimp out.

Yes I absolutely agree

IF we lose, it will be the manner of the loss that would matter

Go over there and give it a right go, and I think we’ll accept that

Go over there and do what you wrote above and we won’t.

I suspect even the most ardent Rodgers fan wouldn’t accept that scenario

Totally agree and our league form is down the pan. Probability of finishing in the bottom half of the table.

I could accept that if we weren't so lacklustre in the Europa League but that's 2 seasons in a row we've limped out of that and we're now hanging all 9f our hopes on a competition that most on here were probably taking the piss out of Spurs for being in it

No offence to anyone but it’s so obvious from the comments who went and who watched a stream. That was garbage from start to finish. Spurs might as well have dug up Ray Clemence and stuck him in goal again for all they needed a keeper.

It’s hard to watch Albrighton play nowadays.

Actually thought he played well today, I liked his nutmeg towards the end.

If it was you sitting in Block 114, row 4, seat 423, who enjoyed offering opinions such as:

Harry Kane is a homosexual

David Pleat is a homosexual

Check Son’s passport

then please don’t come again. Fiftyish, daft, stuck in the 1970s and an absolute embarrassment to yourself and our Club.

Some ***** were hissing. We really do have some low life supporters.

Wow. So much wrong.

Let's break that down.

It's public knowledge that Kane married his childhood sweetheart who knew him when he was a mere foal.

Again, it's widely known that Mr Pleat is *so* fond of the fair ladies that he has been known to slow down his car to chat with them.

What? To see if it's in date?   He's out of the closet, as far as being South Korean is concerned lol

The thing is we need to be able to compete with a decent team Thursday and Sunday. What's the point of winning on Thursday, so we can go on to win a place in next year's Europa League so we can.......wait for it......field a weakened team in the league, or field a weakened team in Europe? I don't want another juggling act season. If we are serious about Europe, then we need to strengthen to an extent, where we aren't weakened by whoever we field. We need that position to compete with this five subs. rule in any event.

I will be frustrated if we aren't at full strength against Everton regardless of what happens on Thursday.

I'd love nothing more than that too. Man City and Liverpool do it with experience and very deep pockets. We don't have either right now, so we are at that level where we do have to compromise.

And i agree. We need to be strong against Everton regardless. Today they got a pass (imho).

I didn't watch the game but the fact I didn't watch the game says all you need to know. I'm bored of this team and I feel a slow decline had kicked in. I know Thursday is more important but I've seen nothing from us this season that makes me think we'll get a result in Rome. And god help us in the league too. Little to play for and we've barely look bothered all season when there was.

No surprise with the result today. We expected nothing and we got nothing.

Much more worrying was Brendan’s interview post match where he spoke about KDH and Maddders’ injuries. Tight calf and the same old hip problem. We desperately need both to be fully fit on Thursday night.
I’m hoping it’s all just mind games against Jose, but he did sound concerned about their potential availability.
