How are Burnley playing unbelievable style of football with Sean Dyche players? This is how you know Kompany is the real deal. He's turned thugs like Ashley Barnes into actual footballers.

That's a bit rich considering that Leicester have had more red cards this season than Burnley had in Dyche's last 5 seasons.

But essentially, only about 4 players from last season play in any game this season.  (typically Barnes, Roberts, Brownhill, Gudmondsson).

Ince sacked from Reading, he's awful in management. Looking at candidates won't be surprised if they do like the other clubs go for the experienced route... Tony Pulis... Good old help you Reading lol.

There is talk though Paul Lambert is fave for the job.

Noel Hunt has got it but not sure if that is a caretaker.

I think he knew what was coming when claiming Pep or Klopp couldn’t work with the Reading squad and get results !

Being thuggish on the pitch doesn't necessarily equate to players being sent off though does it

A link has been known.  As a rule of thumb, a team which is genuinely thuggish is unlikely to set the PL record for most games without a red card.

Who you going for next then? lol

I'm not sure how you're playing but your results over the last two months haven't been good.

Some Italian bloke has been linked.

Not very well but we haven’t all season regardless of who the manager has been .

He was never going to stay unless we somehow got promoted tbh hence the short term contract .

Isn’t that the rule for all of your appointments?

Great first-half with it being Middlesbrough 4-1 Norwich.

Can't see any of the current bottom three getting out of danger.

If they do go down I think Reading, like with us and Sheffield Wednesday, having to 'reset' at a lower league for a bit might make them stronger for the future.

A couple of days before he went Watford I was told Wilder would likely end up at Huddersfield at the end of the season. Something to do with his agent or some director who has a close working relationship with him. For Watford is it case of needing to give a manager time for some stability or does the squad need an overhaul as well?

Both but doubt either will happen .

Probably get a new manager who will be sacked in weeks /months after getting a load of random players and being told to get on with it .

Serious question: Has Pearson actually improved Bristol City at all?

Iirc, they seem to hover between 13th - 16th in recent seasons.

I'd say stabilised more than necessarily improved. It has to be remembered that he took over after years of mismanagement, with half the squad out of contract and the club massively in debt and in serious danger of failing FFP, so had to effectively asset strip to help the club survive.

Following on from this he's had virtually no money to spend on players and has had to rely on journeyman, has beens and kids, in a division bloated with teams who still have Prem money and / or parachute payments swilling in their coffers.

There is a genuinely more positive mood now down Ashton Gate than the moribund sense of doom and despond that has hung over the place the last few years, and a sense of optimism for next season, which probably presents the biggest test for Nige.

Bottom half is probably where that current squad should sit, however with the Scott money coming in the Summer on top of the Semenyo money from January,  which may give him a bit of money to spend (may...) and other talented kids in the squad having another year of experience under their belts, the club really needs to kick on next season.

If their not top half, pushing upwards by Xmas, then he could be in a bit of trouble.
