Sunderland into the play off spots .

Got us next week so will get 3 points then too.

Been a good game even though West Brom have been involved. First half bit slow but had come to life in 2nd half. Sunderland deserve the win if they hold on.

Am sure they have before (without checking online, I think 20 years ago or so?) but have Reading ever been in the third-tier?

Late 90s/early 00s.

With teams like Brighton and Brentford.

Big dive from Carlton Morris, but ref gives a penalty. Graham Scott the ref...

I hope they don't get so lucky in the play-offs.

Final will have VAR but that didn't help Huddersfield last season.

I would bloody love Luton to get up into the Premier League. It’s such a great journey they’ve been on, so much crap they’ve been through.

Unlucky to be the team relegated just before the Prem started if I remember correctly, all they had to do was beat already relegated Notts County and Cov would have gone down, but in those days Cov end of season lucky escape was part of watching football.

Then to go conference to Premier League in 10 years would be amazing!
There stadium, unless any work has been done recently is a proper old school shit hole that I used to love visiting for some strange reason.

That must have been an absolutely incredible night for Burnley fans. Will be in their folklore forever.

Especially doing it away in a local derby.

Winning the title at your fiercest rivals must be such a strange feeling, in a good way of course.

Remember the Arsenal invincible side winning the title at White Hart Lane. Incredible.

Shame.

What is peoples problem with Sheffield United?

Proper club, great ground, passionate fans, great away day with Bramall Lane being in the city centre.

I don’t get why the idea of them coming up is so disliked by some :dunno:

I’m sure that is a perfectly objective view with no bias attached

But yes, there’s a lot of sides like West Brom, Norwich and Watford that are a bit….dull. I’d sooner see Sheff Utd. But they’re my local side so I’m probably biased!

I grew up near Sheffield so it just stems from me being younger, when we were poor, and having the piss taken out of me everytime they beat us (which seemed regular back then!).

If we stay up then this will all be irrelvent, but we're on the brink of being in a division below them. I like to see most, if not all, my local sides doing well but not better than us!
