Really?  why?

I was bit sick of them yo-yoing between divisions and having the ratio of one in three recently relegated clubs amongst the top six at this stage is something I would take.

Although I would have preferred it that Burnley and Sheffield United are not amongst automatic promotion places of course!

Think Warnock slightly regrets taking the Huddersfield opportunity, especially after the heavy loss at home yesterday.

He'll be proven to be a great manager if he, somehow, manages to take them out of their current situation.

-

It's only a matter of time in Kompany getting a better opportunity.

Am a big fan of how he wants Burnley to play, plus Carrick's at Middlesbrough.

Huddersfield got beaten by a Coventry side pushing the top 6.

It's not those games they look at, it's the likes of Bristol City in the next game where they need to be taking points from. They've got Swansea, Cardiff and Reading all the end of the season which will be huge.

Blackpool fan dies following an incident after their game v Burnley on Saturday.

Very sad - no one should go to football and never come back .

Puts things into perspective.

RIP.

https://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/2023/march/06/club-statement/

From what I've seen/been told Blackpool attacked the pub that Burnley were boozing in, this bloke was part of that.

Very sad when it happens to someone at football, but when you get involved in that side of football you know the risks.

A video of the incident is circulating on Twitter.

Don’t be surprised if Bilic is sacked soon.

And a lot of fans would be quite happy to see him go.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try not to be surprised if and when Watford sack a manager!  ;)

Sounds like its coming very soon!

People will say "poor fans - how do they cope etc" but tbh most of them have been wondering how Bilic has lasted so long.

Certainly wouldn't be an unpopular sacking like Edwards was.

Infact some wanted Blic out some time ago.

I mean we will probably just go for some short term option to get us in the play-offs and when that fails then he'll go too.

EDIT: Apparently  going to be Chris Wilder.

Well let's hope he does a bit better than he did in the last few months at Sheffield United or with Middlesbrough otherwise he won't last long!

To be replaced by Wilder short term which begs the question is there really much point in changing  manager now unless we are hoping for an unlikely play-off surge.

We'll be looking for another manager come mid May I suspect.

When Watford say they appoint a manager "short term", what exactly are they comparing it with?

In this case about 12 games.

We have had some managers last a few months/a year or in Gracia's case 18 months!

Insane to think that in the time that Rodgers has been here, you've went through something like 10 managers!

The Revolving door at Watford is still operating well. Ours is stuck

It doesn't move forward, only side to side and backwards.

You could say no manager looks like they fit in at Watford but Wilder to me certainly doesn't.

I'm surprised he's taken it.

Probably got a nice little earner for 3 months !

Plays 3-5-2 which is what Edwards played.

Might as well kept him .

The got promotion to the PL just 22 months ago, May 2021, and since then have sacked 5 managers.

A manager can take the job now, knowing he gets a decent wage and payout on sacking, and no-one counts it as a black mark on his CV.  Half of everyone's shortlist must consist of men who have been sacked by Watford.
