Is this the worst Brazil team we’ve ever seen?

Don't know about worst (in the discussion though!) but it definitely takes the gloss and mystique away from them a bit when they're putting out sides with players I've seen in Wolves, West Ham and Leeds kits.

You’re not wrong to be fair, the disgrace of a team that played in their own World Cup is probably the worst in most recent. Uninspiring is probably the right word, but Ancelotti knows how to set a team up, so I expect them to be fairly solid without being exciting.

Just seen a headline that Christian Eriksen has collapsed on the pitch in a friendly against Ukraine. He’s now conscious. Possibly a recurrence of the same issue? I hope he’s ok!

Yeh sad news. Surely thats him finished as a pro footballer. His health must be his priority.

I know he had a defibrillator fitted after the last time and this is possibly what saved him but I don’t think they thought there was even a chance it could happen again

Similar for Brasil away. Huge neckhole and the pointy shoulders too. Got one off DHGate and can't bring myself to wear it.

Surely Eriksen calls it a day now?

Given they've already put him through all of the procedures, scans, treatment etc. and it's happened again, the protocol is to call it a day.

The authorities are fully responsible for the situation regarding Eriksen. Who is Eriksen to demand professional contracts and professional football after what happened before?

It looks like this sport is so corrupted everyone can bend strict rules.

Thankfully he's alright and he was saved by the device which started to operate after another cardiac arrest. This is why the player felt the shock which was mainly caused by the fitted machine.

Well he wasn't allowed to play in Italy with their rules in such situations so some countries are strict on heart conditions.

Maybe others will follow?

At 35 probably best for him to call it a day.

Strange that Denmark and Ukraine were playing each other as neither are at the World cup.

I admire Eriksen for wanting to carry on, but for an athlete to have suffered what he has, would suggest there’s an underlying problem surely?

He can’t put his family though nearly dying on a football pitch again surely? He’s done incredible well to carry on playing, but he’s got to finish now. Like some have said, does a wonder stance need to be taken on this going forward? Surely like Italy, they can say no for the his own benefit?

I’d rather drink my own piss than Coors light for a quid let alone that.

Hope you read the small print at the bottom too. Those prices are before tax   :jawdrop:

I completely forgot he wasn't allowed to play in Italy. Makes things even worse considering there are different rules elsewhere regarding the same serious medical issue.

Tbh if I was a footballer I wouldn't be comfortable playing against or alongside Eriksen knowing his medical problem. How can you even tackle or put under pressure a player like this?

Yes, I know some sports is a practically an outright no if you have an ICD fitted. Mainly physical ones such as hockey, rugby, combat sports etc

The ICD has worked as intended, however, however I’d imagine he’ll undergo another round of tests to understand what triggered it to work, before any decision is made on further involvement in sport.

Sad for his family.

Strangely, it made me think of Kasper and his response last time.

Lots of fans struggling to get VISAs for this.

Stadiums could be half empty with ridiculous ticket prices, expensive food and drink and then this.

The more of an embarrassing farce, the funnier it appears.
