Guess it'll be

Schmeichel (if he doesnt fack off)

Castagne Fofana Evans Justin

Ndidi

Tielemans KDH

Maddison Vardy Barnes (unless facked)

Praet in for Barnes if he is facked.

Great to see the new additions to the squad :scarf:

Call me crazy but I think we will win this one easily. Brentford has a solid squad, but I just think we will get it done*

Not sure about Ndidi in this game and in general. He was so lost against Sevilla.

cant see him improving in one week, because he was out of form for too long.

I would give Soumare a chance

Brentford’s line up for their final pre season game, likely what we face. Not bad but we win the midfield battle all day.

Our first 11 if everyone fit bar Ricky should be to good for them if only we could get a top class right winger not lose any big players and keep everyone fit what this season could bring all big ifs though

Brentford fans are confident of getting 3 pts at least. Based mainly on the fact that all our top players are leaving and we are in a serious financial mess

How many more points can they get.

They tended to be quite even games against them last season, but we managed to score some worldies against them.

I wonder who’ll step up this time? I’d like an Albrighton worldy!

Meant to say 1 point at least. Most reckon they'll win and we were lucky twice last season (in the image of Frank).

Fair enough. I reckon we’ll see the side that we saw first half vs Sevilla, after Ricardo went off injured.

You're probably right, Maddison has become able to still effect games from the right but as Brendan glowingly said on that interview released yesterday, he comes alive in that half space in the 8/10 role and playing a 4-3-3 with Tielemans and KDH already in there makes it impossible to then get Maddison in his central role.

Praet played the RW or LW role for Torino last season and although that's not my solution to our problems particularly, I'd much rather he was sold and we get an actual right winger in, I think benching Tielemans whilst he plays silly beggars allows us to play 4-2-3-1 instead or 4-1-4-1 where KDH and Maddison push up with Wilf sitting and Praet tucking in on the RW.

Ward

Castagne

Fofana

Evans

JJ

Wilf

KDH

Perez

Maddison

Barnes

Vardy

Ideally you don’t start Perez, but the alternative is Youri with Madders shoehorned on the right when he’s so much more effective centrally.

Interestingly I read a comment in another topic stating that we’ll be starting the season with a weaker team than last season, for context, here is the starting XI vs Wolves last season …

I fancy us to do Brentford, sure it will be a close game but we have a better 11 than they do.

Think they will be v.motivated and well organised by Thomas Frank but we look stronger in every department than them. wouldnt be surprised to see Ivan Toney score but we should put at least 3 past them.Players like Thomas,Kelechi  and Praet would be automatic 1st team picks for them

For all the talk re players leaving etc. i cannot recall having a stronger squad in depth than we have at the moment.

4-1 win

That should should be good enough to beat Brentford IF it IS that side we start with
