It's so infuriating to have such a good potential starting 11 yet all these underlying sagas that will no drag on for a month. 

 

I don't know how on earth we are in the position from where we were after the FA Cup win.

It’s a bit of a lottery trying to name our opening game 11 as things stand … but the only thing I’ll predict  is Vardy will start

I fancy us to do Brentford, sure it will be a close game but we have a better 11 than they do.

Weaker goalkeeper, but stronger defence with Castagne, Fofana, Evans and Justin as a back 4 hopefully. Add in KDH too and if anything it's stronger overall.

I'd go with this. I wonder if Tielemans might benefit from a sub role, either to influence a game later on or to keep possession and see it out.

Praet played the RW or LW role for Torino last season and although that's not my solution to our problems particularly, I'd much rather he was sold and we get an actual right winger in, I think benching Tielemans whilst he plays silly beggars allows us to play 4-2-3-1 instead or 4-1-4-1 where KDH and Maddison push up with Wilf sitting and Praet tucking in on the RW.

If only you had mentioned our need for a right winger...

Come on mate it's the first Match of the new Season, let's put everything to the back of our minds:

I dont know enough about formations to pick a starting 11 but I like Mendy at the moment

It'll be interesting to see how the more basic members of our fan base react if the keeper makes a mistake.

 

A lot of people are unhappy with Kasper going and the lack of activity so it could get hostile - just hope whoevers in the sticks has really thick skin for the next 6 months.

 

Other than that we've got more than enough quality to see off this lot and if we press how we did against Sevilla I could see us running riot.

I imagine a lot of our better players also are feeling the same way.. could get nasty for Brendan Rodgers behind the scenes.
