Yes, just a shame about his fookin defending!
Championship player

Nah, championship is harsh. He's a competent enough lower half prem centre back in the right system, like he suited Purls system as a flexible RCB, RB to allow Ricardo to bomb forward. Just like Vestegaard was for Southampton when allowed to play deeper and not asked to be regularly turning and running towards his own goal. Problem is that he can't play in this system, particularly not on the left side, and it's on the manager for not going out and finding player that suit his system (like why sign Vestegaard) or failing that adapt to the players he has available.

Spot on, I struggle to find the reasons we bought him, best for all if he moves on.

The reason we bought amartey was to play in a relatively solid defence with full backs that didn't get forward a huge amount. In that system he's competent. Not a world beater, not good enough to start for a side with ambitions on Europe, but fine. We're not playing that system anymore and the current one exposes every one of his vulnerabilities.

Apologies if it's been mentioned before ...

But i thought the ref yesterday was superb.  I didn't recognise him, which is usually a good start.

He let the game flow, didn't blow his whistle everytime a tackle was made, and wasn't taken in by the usual "oh ref, i'm in agony, my leg's dropped off".

He's that Australian ref that everybody was going crazy about after seeing video's of him refereeing in Australia

Isn’t there new guidance to let the game flow when there’s contact in some situations?

It is going to impact on Maddison as well as Grealish if they don't get frekicks at the slightest nudge. It is something that I don't mind seeing the back of.

Did anyone go in what was the blues bar, is it much different now?

There appeared to be more than 1 person behind the bar so a dramatic increase in the number of staff.

Love to know pricing etc.

Did notice there wasn't the small bar section outside like before

It's often a myth that we dominate as many games as Rodgers, the media and some of our fans claim. Possession is not tantamount to dominance in a sport that is judged on goals.

see the premiership winning team. Won league by 10 points when we were about 16th in the possession league.

Like I said before, it was all just so depressingly predictable. Most of us, if we are honest, thought it would come. If we are expecting a collapse then so are the players. It gets into your mindset. Their first goal went in and we all just thought, here we go. I’m just surprised we didn’t contrive to lose. So there is that.

After the equaliser if one team was going on to win it, it was Brentford.

I’m still bewildered he didn’t bring Cags on for Amartey. You could honestly see the poor sod shaking after their first goal.

Rodgers in-game management is sometimes inexplicable, to myself, a mere supporter of the game.

Yes!

Rodgers needs to play FM more.

Even I know that if I’m two naught up after 60 minutes I switch to ‘wasting time’ mode and go to ‘ultra defensive’ or all out attack!

Finally, to sub any knackered players!

Subbing the knackered players is probably a good starting point.
