One of the most frustrating things about today was this was nearly a carbon copy of the game against them in March and home and away to Palace. 2 goals up and cruising but the opposition managers know we will just malfunction, you no longer have to get despondent when losing to us, just bide your time and we'll provide some gifts.

I don’t think we were cruising in that match tbf, we were lucky to be 2 up, they handed us at least one of those goals. That game it always looked likely that palace would come back. Whereas here, we were head and shoulders better than Brentford in the first half, and then came out in the second half a completely different team.

The home games vs Brentford and Palace last season we were home and hosed in the 1st half and then just let them do whatever they wanted 2nd half and were lucky to hold on for the wins. The away game I agree it wasn't plain sailing but once we'd gone 2 nil up, we finished the 1st half and started the 2nd half strongly but then just let them get on top.

As soon as their first goal went in I think everyone knew what was going to happen. I don't like that feeling but I cant help it as I've seen so many wins bottled and it seems no matter what the case if we concede then it almost feels inevitable that the game is going to end in a draw or a loss, I wonder if maybe the players feel like this too as they seem deflated after the first goal and just couldn't handle the pressure.

Why can't we sell players; surely someone wants each of Praet, Soyuncu, Tielemans & Soumare?

It doesn't make any sense. Bid for them(as everyone else doesn't seem to be effected by these new FFP rules), like you do everyone else, pay their wages, have them. Wtf is going on, why can't we do anything?

You would have to say that if Brendan is even a quarter of what he is said to be, then the mistakes HE made today are baffling. Daka on for KDH doesn’t make little sense, it makes none at all. Knowing that this is the first game of the season played on a hot afternoon you would have to be insane or stupid not to realise that using ALL your subs might be a good idea.

The list goes on, but the point is, Brendan cannot be THAT stupid surely?  He just can’t be. So if he is not then what the hell is going on?  A game of chicken with the owners?  Or is he actually just that sodding dim?

What I don't get is even if he was trying to prove a point to the owners, then surely you'd use all your subs and then if we still drew or lost the game you can make the point that the squad is not good enough and we need to buy? If you don't use your subs the owners will say 'we'll you're not using all your squad players, so what's the point in buying more?' Unless he wanted to throw the game to prove a point, in which case its even worse!

I don't agree with that, both of the goals were well taken with skill.

Rodgers threw 2 points away today , I can’t see how u taken a midfielder who was have a great game off and replace him with a centre forward , if he had replaced him with Pratt we would have won this one , he is a arrogant manager , in that heat he only makes one change , he needs to go .

No, You didn't underestimate us, we played so badly it was embarrassing at times because we can play better than we did, and are very well pleased with a point that we never looked like getting, The real winner was Thomas Frank who used our 5 subs very well and it paid off, Your loser was Brendan Rodgers who only made 1 sub when you were tiring badly, that was a very big elementary mistake, What on earth was going through his mind, we won't get an easer point from being 2 down, still a long way to go!!!

Says it all really doesn't it. Brentford fan owning up to how bad they were (which they were) and we still manage to capitulate to them.

It's an utter disgrace at this point. It will not change under this manager. Get him out.

Lots of people forgetting how poor Soyuncu was for most of last season.

...he appeared very positive in pre-season and had a willingness to break forward!!!

He certainly seemed ready for the season and full of confidence.

Brendan looks like he's given up, just treading water until he gets paid off. Wonder if a deals already in place for Fofana, so it's time to go. No obvious job for BR yet, so just stay and go through the motions.

If that was the case the board should be decisive and just sack him and pay him off Brendan going through the motions with us does not help us in the short term and long term.

Do you think that Top didn’t allow BR to spend any money as he thought he might be disposing of his services soon?

...listening to Radio Leicester  yesterday they played his interview again, where Rodgers said he only got to know about the ffp situation recently!!!

I wonder if he(Rodgers)  perceives that statement to be a means of withholding funds to prevent him from being able to bring players in. If that is his take of the situation,  this could explain his decisions  in the game as a pushback to the club and Top.

The club would no doubt be content to push the narrative as it prevents any further poor acquisitions or exacerbation of the situation if they have to terminate his contract.

People need to get over the fact that Kaspers gone and we're entering a new era now.

Ward rightly deserves his chance and to his credit he never bitched or moaned  while waiting patiently despite being an experienced International Goal keeper himself.

I think Iversen is the future no 1 but he has to wait and bide his time and grab his opportunity when it comes. Ward deserves his chance and deserves our support also.

...what does seem strange, was Kasper's run of games was curtailed out of the blue and Ward was brought in!!!

The next game Kasper was back, that came across as Rodgers attempt to assert himself  and no doubt accelerated Kasper going out the door.

After all his time here you would have thought there would have been an announcement prior to the end of the season that he was going, he could have had a proper send off in our last home game.

Because no one wants to pay them what we do (and therefore we have to take the difference off the fees (which makes it unattractive to us financially). in cags position, he would rather see out the season and take a big s/o  fee.  Although again, we could take a bath on the fee at like 7.5m.

take soumare - we are probably paying him 75k/week.  Monaco would want to pay him 50k max. That’s 1.25m short for 4 years. So Monaco want to pay £5m less than his worth to cover that shortfall.  Praet is only two years left so probably only three million to cover - but he hasn’t shown that he’s worth the £15m we want for him over the past season. Each last two seasons he has had sig injury lay offs.  And if we don’t play him then his exposure isn’t going to increase!

perhaps youri’s departure will decide his future here.

It does make sense. If he believed and accepted the stated reasons for no transfer activity, surely he’d just get on with things and try to make the best of it. But his bizarre game management yesterday felt like a pointed statement - ie, he doesn’t really believe the club’s hands are tied re: transfers and is determined to show them the consequences.

But if the club no longer trusts him with transfers, why is he still here?

Probably hoping that he resigns rather than sacking him, I think it’s down to money probably?
