Tough one this.

I think you have to go for a manager that matches the situation we’re actually in, rather than the situation we’d like to be in.

Our defence and central midfield need serious coaching to address the problems we have with conceding - so maybe Dyche is the answer, especially if we don’t have many pound notes to throw at the problem.

AVB doesn’t feel like a fit for us.

Anyone coming here has got a shambles to seal with, huge number of players out of contract in the summer, players not wanting to be here. We will 100% need to sell an asset in the summer, and with us once having loads, they are now looking thin on the ground. With only Barnes and Maddison being remotely of interest to anyone for a big bid.

Thats before we even talk about the footballing shambles they are also walking into.

Dear oh dear… giving Rodgers too much sway with his own fitness people and own recruitment team has well and truly shafted us.

We have a choice between getting a fire fighter and a builder.

I'd prefer a builder, but not sure who.

Dyche. Annoys me that it means we have lost so much prestige that we have built up over a few years but we need someone who is going to make us hard to beat.

Can we just shout “Hey Potter come and see this in our laundry basket” shove him in, wheel it onto the coach and drive away whilst Brendan’s still having his post match teeth polish in the dressing room. :dunno:

Pretty much what Chelsea do with our players and they get away with it.

It's a really tricky one.

Ideally we'd go for a progressive coach but I can see the value in getting an organiser in. There is enough talent that getting our defensive solidity improved is the #1 priority.

Dyche has spoken a big game about how he shouldn't be pigeonholed as a basic manager. We'd be a good acid test for that.

Potter beyond our reach now you would've thought. Slot would be a fantastic option, but given our financial situation it's unlikely we will be getting anyone in for any kind of fee. From the names thrown around in here, seems Marco Rose would probably be the best option at this point in time.

Just someone that can organise a defence and whose teams don’t have to stifle the game with possession to be able to defend
