Also basing it off two pretty terrible collapses, two very underwhelming European campaigns (one saved by us being bad but not the worst in our group in the competition we actually qualified for). Also nice one for mentioning the semi final, that second leg was one of the worst limp performances I've ever seen of a side in probably one of it's biggest games.

Well, what did we base Ranieri’s sacking off? The team has significantly stagnated over the last 12 months and the manager has shown no inkling of how to improve this drop. Instead, he has offered excuses to the media and subliminally belittled the club.

Basing it on the rubbish we served up for well over a year now, the fact we are moving backwards and no real hope of that changing. The pathetic performances with a manager that can’t seem to sort out the repeated mistakes or even looks remotely interested in even trying to solve such issues. 

 

The players are lacking confidence, look unmotivated, some don’t even want to be here, and we have players on good wages that can’t get near the side.

Boring, unambitious, safe, sideways football. Players look terrified of making a mistake. No width, no creativity until Maddison came on who made a difference by actually wanting the ball and moving it forward. Every in-game decision Rodgers made went badly - moving Iheanacho up front on his own the most egregious example.

 

He’s making this squad less than the sum of its parts. Get him gone.

Watching the highlights and genuinely astounded by people clapping at full time. What on earth is the thought process behind that, you’ve travelled to Stockport on a Tuesday night, and got through on penalties against a bunch of pub footballers. It’s pathetic and is a losers mentality.

 

I know people are at liberty to react however they want but the players need to know it isn’t good enough. It was the same at Forest in January, about twenty people stood in front of me clapping the players off after being thumped by our local rivals. 
 

I bet it will be the same when we inevitably get battered by Chelsea on Saturday too.
