People saying Top deserves a chance to “learn”

Investing into infrastructure far to big for our revenue - that was a chance to learn.

Failing to invest when the club was “high” - a chance to learn.

Risking financial security and moving away from a tried and tested method - a chance to learn.

Allowing talented people to become disillusioned and leave - a chance to learn.

Allowing or better still, allowing a situation to develop where the club has as many players as we do with contracts expiring or soon to expire - a chance to learn.

No signings in the summer - a chance to learn.

Poor signings, repeated (Vestegaard, Bertrand, Soumare, Daka, Khristiansen (not in squad today), Souttar, Tete) - a chance to learn.

Poor fan interaction, disillusionment - a chance to learn.

A drastic drop in performance which led to an early Fa Cup exit (twice) to lower league opposition and ridiculously poor results over two years - a chance to learn.

Not sacking Rodgers - pre World Cup - a chance to learn.

Not sacking Rodgers during the World Cup - a chance to learn

Not sacking Rodgers post World Cup - a chance to learn.

No preparation once Rodgers was sacked, a chance to learn.

allowing complacency, poor standards to set in without challenge - a chance to learn.

The offences are probably even longer than that - this hasn’t just come about, it’s been brewing. The prat isn’t learning!

Great post.

From what I have heard would have been when the fans had gone an hour after FT, but pulled the plug at the last minute as media were still dotted around so would have obviously picked up on it. As unbelievably as it sounds heard it from a pretty reputable source.

If this is true, we are more ****ed than i initially thought. This guy is like Richie rich, no friends and desperate for the players to love him. We’ve just had a disaster of a season (ignoring whether we stayed up or not), there’s a group holding you to ransom, running contracts down and he wants  to have a jolly on the pitch. **** me.

and people think Rudkin might go.

He can still turn this around, however, he has to admit his shortcomings and rectify it with sacking people who caused this and pumping some money in the club.

I think Top deserves a little more respect than is being shown in here. Yes it’s disappointing, but get a grip. Our club is the admiration for many up and down the country, and that is down to Top and his family. Show some respect. We’ll bounce back.

We are not the admiration for many clubs....we were

But have not been for 18months

Yeah 2 chances of that.

Stick with Top and regular trips to Shrewsbury and Cambridge await us.

I’m not sure he has the interest anymore. Rudkin, Whelan and Rodgers ended up being liabilities, and expensive ones. The club is worthless now.

I’m sure someone else has already said it, but if Top was actually named Todd and was an American who bought the club the day Vichai died, and then followed on with what Top has delivered, people would be after him.

The guy gets credit under this catch all phrase of ‘the owners’ and no accountability because of his dad’s record.

Vichai brought us to new heights.

Top brought us to the floor.

Reading this thread, you would think there are millions of billionaires lining up to buy the club.

Remember the owners were had before, and ask yourself why anyone would be an improvement.

He’s made mistakes, but he’ll sort them

Partly because they wouldn't be as foolish to sit there for an entire season and watch on as a club stumbles into relegation.

Not to worry though everything will be alright. He's going to learn don't ya know.

According to BBC sport article on us being the most expensive side to be relegated - sorry copy and paste of link not working

A three-year deal was then offered to former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch after he impressed during his interview, but the American rejected it, feeling it was not the right opportunity.

If that bit is true whoever is responsible shoukd get a life ban from football

You’re either unaware of our previous owners, or, wait, there isn’t an alternative

Welcome to supporting Leicester, I can only assume you arrived around 2012 👍

Previous owners as bad as they were at least didn't leave it until after the horse had bolted to make a change.

Vichai has my total respect.

What makes you think on current form things will improve under Top?

How can we go from a club that is the pinnacle of how a club should be run, the envy of football fans across the world, a shining light of what football ownership should be, to possibly one of the worst run clubs in the league, an embarrassment to the fans, delusional owner, DOF, and players thinking 'we'll be alright' until it was too late. A joke of a club that's been set back decades because of really 1 or 2 numpties. No owner or boardmember is bigger than the fans. We are the heartbeat of the club, we'll always be there. Time for some big changes, we as fans should demand it if it doesn't happen. Deflated is an understatement but we go again. Whether it takes 1 season or a decade, we'll be back up there again one day!

You’re defending some of our previous owners, who nearly bankrupt us, or those who lead is into League 1, over Top.

Staggering behaviour.

You’re defending criminals over a man who’s spending his own money to balance our books, investing in the club, donating to the local hospitals, services etc

Do you genuinely believe he doesn’t care? Only a few months he wrote off debt/loans.

Do you believe there are actually better owners than him for the club and city?

You obviously were not here for those dark days before, and it’s no shock you joined these forums days after we slapped Swansea and were on the way to the PL title.

It’s been radio silence from the club for the majority of the season. Extremely interested to see if he or the club release an official statement to at least acknowledge what has just happened, I won’t get my hopes up of being aware of the continued failings. Interesting times ahead, we’re about to find out what our owner is made of, if anything.
