Hoards of people criticising the banners at full time and advocating the "keep the faith" bollocks. Yeah I did see that. I imagine if there was a secret ballot before the game on Thursday night the results would surprise a lot on here. And that's across the whole demographic to I don't think it's a certain age of fan that wants him to stay I think it's a majority across all ages. From SK3 I over heard a conversation about how sick of the UFS they are and the pantomime that surrounds them.... It did make me laugh and this was a group of 20-30 year olds too.

Not expecting everyone to like UFS but I can’t even begin to guess what the pantomime is that they’re referring to. Did they get into any specifics?

They clamp down on street sellers using their logos, then decide to use it to promote themselves. 2. They do use using a slogan nicked from Man United fans. What a club. 2

Popular Post BrianBeane Posted 5 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 5 March 2023 If he isn't gone this week, it's time for protests at the Chelsea game. Not just because of him, but for a whole host of reasons lately, from ticketing to stewarding to relationship with the fans. Its all gone rotten and fans should be demanding better. 9
purpleronnie Posted 5 March 2023 Posted 5 March 2023 Majority are apathetic 'if we go down so be it, I'll be in my seat in the championship with my flask of tea'. 2
Popular Post Voll Blau Posted 5 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 5 March 2023 If the stewards won't let you in with a banner then try and sneak one in, stand outside the ground and dump it before you go in, hang it nearby, hang it in the city, hang it near Seagrave, take photos and spread it all over the internet. Just remember that no-one else is going to do it for you. If you want to make a difference, you've got to do it. 5

I don't think they are I just think they have enough blind faith in the club and manager that they think everything will be ok. The issue is surviving relegation will just paper over the cracks, there's been massive failings by the club and those in charge. Those who you speak of will just be happy to stay up and see the club to continue to operate as it has been, whether that will be under BR or someone else.
Ricey Posted 5 March 2023 Posted 5 March 2023 The apathy and acceptance I think boils down to the fact that he won us the FA Cup. So many fans feel uncomfortable showing animosity towards the man that finally gave us that trophy, despite the shambles that he’s overseen ever since. It shouldn’t have got to the stage where things needed to turn toxic before the board might pull the trigger. We shouldn’t need to spend an entire season trying to whip up protests, knowing that’s the only way Top will let him go. With Ranieri it was hard, but at least it never got to the stage where the fans were calling for his head. 1

Paninistickers Posted 5 March 2023 Posted 5 March 2023 I'm down for a protest. I've been one of the last to join the open criticism of Rodgers, as someone said above, he had an awful lot of credit in the bank from me after winning the FA Cup. 10 mins into Chelsea. Walk out. For the whole game. Regardless of score or entertainment or however counter productive it may be. A clear visible, dignified sign of protest to the players, board, media and manager. 2

A tiny minority will agreed to do that and an even tinier minority will actually have the bottle to go through with it. Be visible and be audible in whatever you do. That's the only way at the moment. Edited 5 March 2023 by Voll Blau 1

No point in a singing protest because only a small proportion of the crowd actually sings no point in a walk out protest because only a few would actually do it And if it’s a few then the board simply interpret it as being a significant minority who feel this way. has to be something visual and simple. I’ve written in another thread - first time a physio comes on in the game, anyone who wants the coach out stands and turns their back for 30 seconds - easy and hopefully well supported. If it’s a shambles then we have to accept we’re in the minority and get on with trying to lift the players (as we should be doing anyway) Edited 5 March 2023 by st albans fox
Matt Posted 5 March 2023 Posted 5 March 2023 ****ing knew I should have ordered one of those personalised scarves with 'Rodgers Out' on. I didn't think he'd be around for much longer back then

Daggers Posted 5 March 2023 Posted 5 March 2023 The only protest that works is the one that sees your seat empty and less cash in the club’s account come Monday mornings. It’s as true today as it was the last time I pointed this out.
