In the pocket but that also hurts the team. To be honest, i think Top has bought into everyone calling him the best owner in the world and any such protest would kind of damage his reputation he believes he has.

This kind of protests are organised within minutes by just a dozen of fans in countries like Spain and Italy and the other fans are following the pattern/plan. Organised to fanbases that get it yeah. Ours you see grown blokes buy all three shirts they don’t like but do so because they think it will mean we sign a better striker. Too many won’t join any protest actions as they won’t want to do anything they deem will upset King Power. 7
Vestan Pance Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Our fans won't protest unless it's against a UFS tifo by ripping holes in it. Little wonder this fiasco is dragging on for so long. 2

I'm not saying my opinion hasn't changed too but his decline in popularity has been rapid. I will never blame a fellow fan that was pro Rodgers a year ago. Things change and there was a series of events, interviews and tactical approaches to the game that can't be forgiven or forgotten. 5
Popular Post Lcfc098 Posted 20 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2022 Not sacking Rodgers is just another thing in a line of things the club have managed badly because they know the fans will never really put any serious pressure on them. From the selling arrangements of the FA cup final to Roma away and endless problems they've caused. They know they can get away with anything because our fans don't have it in them to do anything about it unfortunately. 5

I'm in my mid 40s and never bought anything from our boutique store except for my children (it's difficult to say no there). Never had a pint or anything bought inside the stadium. I'm maybe in the minority but I don't like to be ripped off for low quality overpriced products. The club gets my support from the season ticket and my voice during the games. That's it. Even though its absolutely staggering its come to this You don't think they'll understand why we'd want to get rid of the manager when we've got 1 point this season and have lost 6 games on the spin? When we've recently finished 5th, 5th and 8th? I think there are plenty who will understand it - but they will just think it's all down to a 'lack of backing' from the board, because they can't be arsed looking farther than the end of their noses. 1

It's not only the 1 point. No manager in the world football would survive consecutive 5-2 and 6-2 defeats. Unless the board thinks we're Atalanta and suddenly we will turn things around and start battering teams with the same scores. I'm afraid the latter might come true against Forest and put temporarily all our problems under the carpet.

It might seem ridiculous now but a change of manager, a few all prem ties in the next round and we could have a decent run in it. I don't think fans refusing to turn up is the answer. We can't just stop attending when things aren't going our way, that's not fan behaviour imo. Turn up and protest if need be, but just not bothering is spoilt and lame. You've got to take the rough with the smooth.
Muzzy_no7 Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 We haven’t got this in us to do it properly anyway, whether that’s outside or inside the ground.

You think a positive result against forest would be pivotal? A bit like the wins at the end of last season that would only paper over the cracks...this isn't about entitled fans expecting too much and being negative.it's about an unprecedented drop in standards on the pitch and some fans thinking the most positive action for their club is change management

Just let Top do what he needs to do, they've proved before that they will make changes if they have to Whilst Rodgers needs to go, he's given us some fantastic memories in his time, memories which alot of other managers haven't. Im not sure a protest would good for anyone That's the issue, Top hasn't done what he needs to do. Also, you refer to 'they'. That was when we had Vichai who clearly had more balls and knowledge than Top. Top has proved absolutely nothing yet other than his ability to somehow rinse the club of money and ambition. evil jack Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 OK but stay off the pitch. And I definitely don’t want to see some bellend holding up a corner flag in the centre circle a la West Ham.

Patrick Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 I remember someone got a quote of around £1000 for a plane to fly over with a 'Rodgers Out' banner for the Villa game before it was postponed, we could easily have a whip round on here and pay for that for Forest if it's clear he's staying.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 I really hope we do some sort of protest. Honestly, we've been treated with such contempt as a fan base AND we are expected to accept it. NO Transfers - forget competing with the Top 6, we havent competed with the weakest in our division. This alone is ridiculously poor. Captain and legend sold with no replacement. All costs went up, without a decent explanation. Disorganised, low level football on show, weekly. Manager insults. The board providing no explanation as to where the fook has the money gone. When they embarked on these huge infrastructure projects, it was drummed into us that they had prepared for every possible scenario and the club would continue to be able to compete - see first point, we cant compete with ****ing anyone right now. Danny ****ing Ward. We have every reason to call for the board to leave, the manager to leave and the owner to either get some experience in as chairman or sell up. SACK THE BOARD SACK THE MANAGER (NEARLY, VERY ****ING CLOSE, KP OUT).
OntarioFox Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Easiest way to protest is for season ticket holders to swallow the cost and not turn up. Empty seats at an East Midlands derby would be rather telling. I'm thinking of not bothering myself if he's still in charge, it only takes a few thousand to be embarassing to the board.
lcfcell Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 90 minutes of “get out of our club” would be good

l444ry Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 (edited) Surprised the Board are so shockingly out of touch that they are prepared to risk Rodgers taking them down with him. Incomprehensible. Edited 20 September 2022 by l444ry
