Bale was done three years ago. Like Argentina will find out, no matter the pedigree of player you just can’t rely on players who are late 30’s to drag your team through.

Wales have been disappointing, it feels like they’ve had more to give in every game but just couldn’t find it. I wonder if they placed too much emphasis on Bale to produce the goods for them?

Late 30's?  Bale is 33, Allen is 32 and Ramsey is 31.  Hardly pushing 40.  Although it is staggering how washed that trio look.

All is not lost for Wales yet though.  England are usually atrocious in Home Nations games so I wouldn't be surprised if we play with the same pre-season friendly tempo as we did against Scotland last summer.  Especially if we get the job done tonight.

Iran and USA must be aware that something might be cooked up on Tuesday, all Brits together and that.

That would have to involve England losing to Wales, as Wales can’t overtake Iran with a draw. England would never purposely lose to Wales, it would be unforgivable. Quite frankly I think most English people would rather Iran go through.

Not a chance.

You seem how the "Welsh" lads have been talking about England? If England have got any balls at all they'll go for the throat from the off.

They're in Oceania, not Asia...

They qualify via the Asian group.

Just been twittering, apparantly whoever wins tonight gets to call it football or soccer.

Or fooccer.

As in "ooh, you fooccer"! When Kane misses a sitter and USA win 1-0.

A bit like the West Germany/Austria axis in 1982
