Lots of students live around this area of Nottingham. I've been one of those students who have walked home from clubs in the city centre late at night. Absolutely tragic. Very un-nerving.

A couple are definitely real, no doubt looking to use anything they can to push their views on some more impressionable members of society
Popular Post Matt_Lcfc Posted 13 June 2023 Popular Post Posted 13 June 2023 (edited) Terrible news. It’s disheartening to see people on Twitter engaging in a prejudiced witch-hunt against ethnic minorities. The mindset is difficult to understand. People see a tragic, inhumane act (which will have impacted many) and the first reaction is to rush onto social media and target innocent people. These people will have been foaming at the mouth knowing that this person was black. It’s a classic example of tarnishing everybody with the same brush. It’s also a stark reminder as to how social media can bring the worst out of people, I have read multiple posts that are just completely thoughtless. Edited 13 June 2023 by Matt_Lcfc 6

Wymsey Posted 13 June 2023 Author Posted 13 June 2023 It sounds horrific. - I know some don't, but I felt quite safe in Nottingham whenever I've been there over the years. Obviously there's don't go-to areas like Lenton, but that's like any other city.

I’m finding the reporting of this whole thing a bit weird really. Certainly some doom and grief porn mixed together from aspects of the media. It’s a sad, tragic incident and utterly dreadful for all of those involved but you’d honestly think it was 9/11 all over again. 1
