Leicester have three young players in the top 100 priced young players worldwide.    Alves is clearly highly rated.  Does the potential of Alves match that of Fatawu, Bouanotte and El Khannouss?

The 3 have played football over 50 senior games at a decent standard over and all made their senior international debuts.

 

Alves is mile behind on experience and coming back from a horrible injury

 

I'd say it's impossible to say at this point.

I don’t think anyone has a clue. You can’t tell the level someone actually is without a loan somewhere. 
 

There’s plenty of players that you watch clips of and expect to be epic but simply aren’t that good. The most high profile obvious case of that would be Anthony.

going off the Northampton game he's a class above league one but still well off the level needed for the prem, I would like to know why the loan didn't happen in the last window but people that have been annoyed he's not playing for the first team this season are jumping the gun

I think we all want Alves to be amazing.  He’s had injuries but we have had a few managers  not fast track him.  January loan could be telling.

Sidnei Tavares thought he was bigger than the club and didn’t sign a new deal. Now look at him. 
 

Will Alves has signed a new deal and is still young. 19 I think. He’s clearly got something about him as he’s training with the first team.

 

People need to stop worrying. If he’s good enough, he will make it. The same way that Barnes, KDH, Chillwank etc have.

I know that tongue in cheek, but you think as Leicester fans we would know better.

 

Mahrez, 22, was playing Ligue 2 side at Le Havre, no one had hear of Kante when he signed for us at 24, Vardy had been kicking he's heals in non league until he was 25.

 

Everyone develops at different speed.

 

Buonanotte maybe a busted flush by 23, who knows.

Yay!!!  Alvez got some minutes today. Wish he could have come on sooner. Please use him Ruud. We gotta try everything at this point to kick start our run for survival

Hopefully he gets a start against QPR in the FA Cup

 

If we do end up getting another winger in I really hope the club does everything they can to get him a decent loan
