 Everyone's seen plenty of horseshit here over the years, everyone's booed a guy they thought was the dog's doodahs a few months earlier, everyone's back the wrong horse at some point. It's his squad, with the players he picks, playing the way he tells them to. If they aren't good enough it's his fault. He's had 4 years and more money than any manager we've ever had. It's all his responsibility.

I actually get very frustrated now with people celebrating like we’ve just scored when var comes up to potentially cancel an opposing teams goal like yesterday as I feel it’s just masking our deep problems when we normally deserve to be loosing.

Think it's abit sad how much we hate former players that used to play for us. Also feel like it burns bridge if they ever felt like coming back too. Don't get me wrong it upset me when some of these players moved on but would well come them back too.

So what is the problem here? That fella doesn’t want Rodgers here but complains when fans chant Rodgers out mid game? Of course fans will chant that after what we’ve been served up this season. Also things on the pitch such as conceding shit goals will trigger spontaneous chants. Fans directing their anger at UFS really are the worst. With everything that is wrong with the club atm to go at those that actually do good is crazy.

Sometimes the hatred comes from the manner in which they left.

 

We love Kanté but despise Fofana as cases in point.

 

Kantè left with the humbleness and grace he always portrayed.

Fofana left as a person our chant portrays him as.

I'm not overly keen myself tbh. I'm quite a reserved soul and don't like any attention. But sometimes you just have to step up. I shouted for his head consistently yesterday, I called out the Mendy substitution and called out Ward. although nobody joined in, nobody dissented and I got the impression broad nods and agreement ...but the fan base is very passive and just, well,  a bit weak 

It is a weak fanbase. Imagine Leeds or Everton tolerating this shit. I think it's the most hurtful thing this season is that everything about it has revealed how weak we are.

You didn't really say what you thought was a disgrace about the singing section, I'm interested to know how SK1 was better before though? If you've been in SK1 for over 20 years you must recognise that with the exception of L1, and part of the family stand which can't really be heard at the other end, that the singing section is trying to help with the support. If by fickle and 2 faced you mean they are booing what they don't like, what would you prefer they do? Sit in silence while we slide into the Championship? A big part of supporting your team is wanting them to be firing at the best of their abilities, why would anyone at present just accept what is happening on the pitch in silence? Unless of course they don't really care...

 

Incidentally, many of the people you are criticising in your post are the very same people who gave up not only their precious time but also their hard earned pounds to bring you (and the rest of us) this:

As a general rule, I tend to find any opinion written about football that starts with "I've been a fan/season ticket holder for x years" is going to be pretty daft - as if it was a well reasoned opinion that people could agree with easily you wouldn't need to preface it with the statement. It's the same as "no offence, but" - you are 100% guaranteed that you are about to be told something offensive.

I ain’t got a problem with the singing section, they’re doing what they said they’d do. What I have got a problem with is the Fvckin drum. It literally stops any other chants starting anywhere else in the kop. Random Chants start with a one or two people, but if no one can hear them cos of boom boom boom, the only chants that are gonna get sung are the ones started near the drum. IMO.
