He’s making it up as he goes along isn’t he? Bredan is all about deflection. Too many on here give him the benegit of the doubt.

He was injured for all of last season, and it’s an injury they’ve said they are managing till he retires, he can’t be fixed..
GingerrrFox Posted 30 December 2022 Posted 30 December 2022 I’d understand the clamour for Vardy to start if he was even half the player he was 18 months ago. As it is, he’s been gash for months.

I think the problem with Wilf is his short range passing just isn’t very good, and he’s not that great at receiving the ball either. Soumare does this weird thing where he gets the ball, turns and then passes backwards….. Mendy is just a bit smarter with his movement and allows the space to open up elsewhere on the pitch.

He’s making it up as he goes along isn’t he? Where does this idea that Ndidi was frozen out keep coming from? Started all but 1 league game until he picked up an injury Then as you do with players who were out for a decent amount of time injured you ease them back in off the bench and play them in cup games (as we did) rather than throwing them straight back into starting in league games When he came back the team and Soumare were also doing well so it wouldn't have made sense to put Ndidi back in ahead of Soumare either Ndidi is also part of the leadership group - and like with Evans being captain and Albrighton being vice captain which was voted for by the staff and players - I expect this will have been as well. Craig Pawson is refereeing, so no need to have a penalty taker, we won't be getting one. Liverpool might get a few if they need them though, he'll come up with some flimsy excuse if they somehow fail to break down our less than watertight defence.
Jimothy Posted 30 December 2022 Posted 30 December 2022 The captain and vice captain picks in the summer were ridiculous. The whole point of a vice captain is to be captain when the actual captain is out. Our captain is constantly injured and then we pick a vice captain who's nothing more than a squad player, meaning we still don't have a team captain. Morgan was club captain for a while when he was a squad player but his vice was Schmeichel who played every week. No idea who I'd have given the armband to tonight, maybe Amartey or Castagne, but the fact even the captaincy, which is largely a ceremonial thing has ended up like this is a bit of a snap shot of the current management.
