It happened when PSG went shopping, it happened the first time Chelsea started spending. It's put tons more money into the European system and thus all prices go up. I'm trying to think of how many signings this window or even in the summer were under 15m. Everton with Tarkowski / McNeil are the only higher profile ones I can think of.
lanefox Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Only took what 36 months to replace Chillwell 2 2

Premier league clubs as a whole are really running up the prices. We’re seeing Wolves, Leeds, Bournemouth & Forrest spend big money. Liverpool and Chelsea spending out of the big clubs too. 1

But yeah this signing is a long time coming. 11

Let's be honest, there already is a Super League, and it's called the Premier League. 1

Also, Copenhagen will want to make the price look higher - likely 17m is all in, including extra fees for appearances etc. 1
StanSP Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Yessssssss! I bet he can't wait to do his ACL in on his debut 1 1

Guest Fox99 Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Nice to have some positive news. Given the state of affairs, feels like a new signing is to be even more appreciated!
Popular Post FLAN Posted 18 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 18 January 2023 Any point in introducing him to Barnes? Won’t ever see him during games 15
StriderHiryu Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 He has a ton of potential and is already a very solid player, crazy he hasn't been featured more in the national team so far, but surely he'll be nailed on for 2024. I live in Copenhagen and support FCK and Arsenal and it might be my arsenal bias, but he reminds me a lot of Tierney. Has an engine on him and a very solid cross, can also partake in the small quick passes during build up. I reckon he can come in and do a fine job for the rest season, but he won't be a star player. Could definitely become a top left back within the next 2-3 years tho. ————- He is a top quality talent. His biggest strengths is that he plays like someone who have 500 games under his belt. His composure and decision making is supurb. He did an excellent job in ChL this season proving himself on a bigger stage than Superligaen. He is not a technical back, who will treat you with exciting drippels. He remarks himself in being stable, he rearly makes a mistake and i think he fits the Prem. Much more than La liga or Bundesligaen. You will love him, I am sure. —————- He’s the best left back in the league. In addition to this he didn’t look out of place in the champions league games and has been a consistent starter for more than a year. 1

JimJams Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Shame he doesn't drippel. That would have made an interesting watch. 1

Luke will be putting his hand round his shoulder and go, be prepared to never see any tracking back and be hung out to dry every week.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 What do we think will happen to him? A) Turn out to be shit? B) Get repeatedly injured after having a previous unblemished injury record C) Gets frozen out the squad

Happy Fox Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Why have Copenhagen released that statement? Want more money from us?

lcfc_forever Posted 18 January 2023 Posted 18 January 2023 Tanner saying £12-13m plus add-ons which likely Leicester will have briefed him on.

To be fair, they seem to be very open about everything. They put out a statement the other day to say they weren’t going to extend a players contract, quite weird.
