Doubt it’s £17m up front.  But even if it is, if you think that’s expensive ….. try relegation and see how it stacks up by comparison. We can’t carry on with LT at left-back and this kid sounds like a step in the right direction 🤞

Once again paying more than we probably should for a player, that's not value for money but hey ho. Milos Kerkez would likely be available for that sort of money, christ.

I do however like the look of Kristiansen and hope this isn't our only signing, we still badly need that right winger in.

I was wondering if we pay 17m if that nixed any chance of a RW or any additional players on a permanent deal for that matter.

hopefully not, as we desperately need to increase our attacking threat.

So how long before Brendan breaks him?!?

Won’t take long with Barnes lack of work rate and Youri running back with a parachute on his back

Can see him going the Castagne route of starting off looking excellent then picking up a load of injuries and transitioning into a mediocre player.

Nevermind world class in the CL. Can he do it on a cold Tuesday night in stoke? Find out in October

Yeah but can Stoke do a cold Wednesday night in Randers?

I'd say 'mature beyond their years' is often something you find with Scandi players. Perhaps why it seems like some have been around forever!

Look at Odegaard for example, captain of Arsenal at 24.

I wonder if it's because they're exposed to pro football so young?

I don’t think Castagne is a mediocre player. He’s been one of the better ones in our bad run and that period just before the WC he was great with Youri dropping in at RB so he could bomb on.

He’s had no help or protection since the restart and probably looking over his left shoulder now Big Dan has reverted back to normal form

He's clearly still got moments of quality in him but over the course of the last couple years he's transitioned from a top 6 quality player to a lower midtable quality player. In a side that is threatened by relegation he looks better than most but he's still shaky and wouldnt stand out in most teams in this league on current form.

On what ****ing planet is £17m a lot in 2023?

There was players being traded in the Championship 4 or 5 years ago BETWEEN clubs for £15m lol

Have we all just lost total sight of reality?

Reality when supporting Leicester City is far too painful!!

Brighton press conference tomorrow:

And Kristiansen?

"Great to have a new signing after so long. He's got quality and character."

Available for Brighton?

"He's a few weeks away. He tripped over a newt and ruptured his spleen on his photoshoot. We're looking at replacements."

More likely to be

” He’s a few weeks away from being match available. It’s mainly down to him having to get used to the high temperatures over here that have caused a few problems for us a few times this season”

Would say as I'm not sure anybody else has, but their club is on the stock market so they're obligated to announce things like this as it can affect stock price. It doesn't mean anything about the state of negotiations other than they're happening.
