WoodyFox Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Only signed on loan for Gent, wonder if that's what put us off? Although a loan would do at this point
LFEFox23 Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Think this proves Twitter rumours are total BS, Bet we wasn't even in for him!Β
Dames Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Looks like our whole operation has been sussed. Its nothing but rumours being put out to distract everyone from the fact we are too skint to sign anyone.Β Β No doubt the excuse will be 'We tried but we couldn't find any value in the window'.Β
dbtcity Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Hahahahah I canβt man Β this club is dusted! Weβre 100% wasting rudders 1 at a time rule on Gonzalez until deadline day where we end up signing a couple of players for the youth team

I actually think it all comes down to Top rather than Rudkin because there is no way he wouldn't be able to work on more than one deal at a time.Β Β I think the financials and all the aspects for each signing are scrutinised at every possible level which means there will always be someone that sticks their oar in to make changes which will delay things, even once all the changes are made after pointless days of haggling I imagine it has to go to Top for final sign off which again could delay the process. It seems like they are running a football club like they would an established business when really they should be more agile and responsive because in football things can change very quickly.Β
ClaphamFox Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Let's not overreact. This is Gent we're talking about - we can hardly hope to compete with clubs of that size, can we? 3

Although we do have the Abbey Street car park. 1

Β Regardless of Rodgers the first 11 desperately needs a lift and reinforcements.Β I am still struggling to believe we won't sign at least a couple this window with maybe one loan.Β Surely to God it's obvious to everyone we need it.Β
Aleksz Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 In all fairness thereβs a good chance we probably werenβt in for him. Β Currently watching the behind the scenes doc about transfers on Sky and itβs fascinating. Theyβve covered the transfers two players we were linked to last summer, Sasa Kaladzjic and Dubravka - and weβve not been mentioned in terms of how the deals actually played out once.Β

Brainy Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Out of interest was there ever a credible source linking us to him? And not FosseHub or whatever they're called?Β
RonnieTodger Posted 17 January 2023 Posted 17 January 2023 Does this mean FIRST4LCFC is not gospel? 3

I love this forumΒ 2
