On reflection Brighton were the better team but we wouldn't be able to hold firm and snatch 3 points if our life depended on it. Mendy absolutely clueless to where Ferguson was, just infuriating.

RODGERS OUT

Mendy was never ever getting that ball it was over and slightly behind him with Ferguson coming onto it, for me Amartey or Faes needed to go for it but were rooted to the spot

Didn’t see the game today but it sounded like we got away with one (? Penalty).

But that’s a good result against one of the form teams in the division

Got away with more than one, missed a couple of sitters as well.

C’mon, Ric. Mendy? What’s he gonna do there?

Amartey was the one not marking anyone all game long, and it finally bit us in the ass there.

No points from the next 2 games. We really are in desperate trouble. This team couldn't defend a lead for 10 minutes if their lives actually depended on it. Pathetic.

It’s probably the next 4.

Villa, Spurs, Man United and Arsenal.

The trouble is not only Rodgers but the squad simply either isn't good enough, is injured or past it or both. That starting XI today probably had only 3 players in it good enough to compete anywhere above 15th in the Premier League.

This team just continues to disappoint. We were never going to hold on but still disappointing. Mentally weak which is a worry given that mental strength as well as skill will be needed if we go into the last few games in real danger, which I fear we will be.

We could use a Wasyl in this squad. We can't even foul the opposition players properly ffs. Our players just get brushed off like autumn leaves

Yes fouling is risky and it gets you cards but if we can't have quality let's at least bring back a bit of agression in to our game

I know it’s been a while but it’s no surprise to see this team become more mentally weak since the likes of Wasyl, Huth, Morgan & Fuchs have left.

This team badly lacks character and leadership that those four once possessed.

Overall, another poor performance. We are totally spineless right across the pitch. The way we just roll over time after time is absolutely unforgiveable.

No logic whatsoever to sticking with Vardy when he is currently one of the most ineffective strikers in the league

You could see from the 70th minute how deep we were sitting and Brighton were all over us. Desperately needed another goal and it took him until the 85th minute to bring Daka on.

The happy clappy crowd come across as over the moon with Rodgers. Completely out of touch with reality.

So happy to see Madders back..that's the only positive really.. Mendy had some good moments, KDH had some vision.. Ward made a good save.. that's it really..

it is going to be a bumpy ride.

A straight line downwards is not a bumpy ride. It is linear, smooth and unfortunately painful.

Mitoma’s gonna be a star isn’t he? Was also quite impressed with Dunk’s distribution - a lot of people on here turned their noses up at previous links with him - we could and have done worse

Really looking forward to taking 5000 fans to Coventry next season. Today was utter dross. No ambition. No cohesion. Vards is on Mars. Amartey is a black and white Harold Lloyd movie. Ward kept us in this game but honestly we were playing for a point right from the kickoff. Uninspiring, spineless, dreadful etc .......

Brighton were different class and should have won easily, but when you are 2 - 1 up with a couple of minutes to go and in a relegation battle you have to see the game out. Rodgers is not up for the fight and lacks the tactical nous to make the changes necessary to see out a game. Our game management after taking the lead was woeful! I fear that even though we have more quality than many of the teams around us he will take us down.
