What I read on the Stoke forum was that Souttar had just got back from a lengthy long-term injury and was still playing himself into match fitness. I can’t see him starting for a while

I think Kristiansen is a way off of match fitness as it was the off-season in Denmark. Souttar had a knock, but that might have just been so he didn't get injured while we negotiated. Tete should start, imo.

2 weeks of training now for Kristiansen plus minutes last weekend so shouldn't be that far off now, I imagine Souttar was protecting himself for the move, Tete been playing week in and week out for Lyon so should be no excuses

We may get some more hints from Brendan’s presser this afternoon. Especially Souttar injury update. I’m really looking forward to Saturday especially if our newbies start. I’d also like to see KDH retain his starting place but we now have choices to make hopefully.

Brendan won't drop KDH he loves to shoehorn him, Youri and Maddison into the starting 11.

 

He will drop Mendy and play KDH in the pivot. Not sure any other team in the league plays without a DM but oh well

Rodgers has used Youri as a DM / the deeper of the 2 in a pivot before, I think he has played there for Belgium as well

Wouldn’t be surprised if he tried that again
