Fair point, Bournemouth did hurt. I think mainly because we were in complete control of that game and on the verge of finishing in the top four.

I was gutted after that game, but still think Spurs was worse. It’s hard to understand why because the Bournemouth game had more importance, but due to Covid and not having gone for ages I felt a bit detached from it all.

I didn't phrase that very well. It should have read that although what happened against Bournemouth was shocking, in what is practically my entire life supporting LCFC, the collapse against Spurs in time added on was unrivaled.

I stormed out the room damaging the living room wall at the equaliser.

I went to the loo when my my wife called, Spurs have just scored. "I know", I shouted back. "No, again", she said.

"Nah" I said, "They're just showing a replay"

"I don't think that they are", she accurately replied

Hideous memory.  I can imagine hoping your wife was confused only to realise she was very much correct. It really is about time we got our finger out against Spurs and record a decent result

Burnley tried hard last season and got relegated. Need a bit more than that

Again, he wouldn't be a full international with Belgium if he was a bad player. Hes a decent player who has not been in good form, like most of them tbh

Fair enough response

Not but in all seriousness, maybe trying to wind up FT with inflammatory language :D but in some respects it’s true. He bothers me with the chances he lets go because he’s just short of an interception and you can see him getting targeted under the ball all the time. Definitely think we need to upgrade on that side. Tete/Ricardo is mouthwatering

They've not mentioned us once, and put the wrong team in the poll lol

And that wrong team being Forest!

Ah fair. It is the BBC, that's pretty good for them tbh

If Justin and Ricardo were not both long term absentees, I doubt Castagne would have played as much. He's a decent squad player, I agree he's not been in form of late but he's not as bad a player as you make out

What against man united away and arsenal home, no excuse for points???? A pretty good excuse would be that they are much better than us, whether we have everyone fit or not. I highly doubt Arsenal for example would be worried Evans, Bertrand and Soumare are available.

Alright, take a breath mate!

The ball barely reached the back of the net before I turned the tv off by the plug, probably the only match I've ever done that on.

More than made up for though by winning the league and FA cup. What have Watford and Spurs won this millennium.

What exactly do you think this is showing? To me it looks like he's average for goals/assists (despite being a defender), admittedly poor at progressing play, but doing a pretty good job, comparatively, at actually defending. Which, given that he's had no true RW in front of him for the majority of the season, its no surprise that that's where he's had to focus and the stats reflect that.

If everyone is fit and on form he's probably our 4th choice fullback, but he's still a perfectly adequate midtable PL player, and his versatility as a LB and even CB in a back 3 has proved useful.

He's not the kind of player to get you up and out of your seat, but he's pretty good at just doing his job unspectacularly but reliably.

Edit: Looks like those percentiles are as compared against other fullbacks. In which case, the defensive stats are even more impressive, and it really emphasises what kind of role he's had in the team - no consistent RW in front of him means no-one to really progressive-pass to, and he's not going to risk taking players on when he's got limited support down that side. For a player that's been overplayed and with weak areas both in front and alongside him (RCB), he's done an alright job.

You brought up a great point he's had no true RW , I expect him to flourish for the rest of the season
