Why do people say rotating is an advantage to us? No player in the current game can perform at an Elite level for 3 games in a week, either physically or mentally the levels will drop. An aside from that we are now coming together. I don't think United are as strong at breaking a team down when given the lions share of possession

Exactly. They have a sports science department that will look at distance run, minutes played, etc., to determine who needs to be rested. There will be some rotation, but they won't treat it like an early round cup match.

But there is that line from Jordan Blackwell in the Mercury (Yes, the rag sucks, but I like Blackwell's stuff): "Embrace the chaos." I can't remember who said it on this forum, but if Nacho doesn't know what he is doing, then the defense won't know what he is doing either. I think if we embrace the chaos, we have a chance to get something out of this (especially if we don't gift them the same early goal we seem to offer every team.)

After the last 2 performances I'm a bit more optimistic, I'd love us to beat these it would reinforce the upturn in morale on FT. Even a draw would be nice 👍 a loss tolerable, so long as we put in a performance.

Just can't see Man United resting key players like Rashford, Fernandes, and Varane. They'll - rightly - prioritise the title race over Europa League. They're not missing the Top 4 this season so they'll have CL football next year and they've got the first shot (albeit an outside one) at a title in years. Injuries and suspensions for the like of Eriksen, Antony, and Casemiro helps but they're still massive favourites.

If we can deliver another strong, cohesive performance and knick a point here to keep the scoreboard ticking over I'd take that all day long. On the bus back to Leicester and regroup for the Arsenal and FA cup home double header.

I have no idea, how we will fair tomorrow.

All I know I am not going into this period of 4-6 games, with trepidation or concerns. I am really looking forward to it,and for the squad to show how far we have come…Win,lose or draw, we have become interesting again & the season can end up being a successfull one first in the League, then some gravy & stuffing

in the FA.cup, even if at sometime one of the draws, nicks our chicken leg from under our noses..

ps.. What a challenge for our Defense to haul in Rashford..

We put Kane serial run to bed..can we keep Rashford

Quiet…And can Faes, rip Fernandez one.

It's not tomorrow. It's a Sunday KO.

They're gonna use the same first XI as last night just replacing Casemiro. They've made just one sub yesterday in the whole game at around 80min. Probably Ten Haag looked at the bench and he was devastated.

We need to press them hard from the 1st second.

If they play martinez, shaw at cb and wout up against soutt then we will do them.

He has to keep faith with the same side as last time out.

Tempting for Tielemans, Ndidi, Ricardo,  to be given a crack but means we can hit them with quality in the last 30mins

Their first 12-14 players are class,

but might be running behind Man.city, L’pool, Chelsea in deep quality squads.

but that is their concerns for the future…

Manutd at present have a first 16-17 players, that are an higher quality in choice than ours….but in football sometimes the romance of the game ( like in Fa.cups)

We can poke them in the eye again…Or they are now in such a place they just won’t allow it.

Brendan Rodgers Pre-Match Press Conference vs Man Utd

Maddison injury?

“James is fine. He’s trained well and is good.”

Soumare and Tielemans?

“Both good. Bouba has trained all week and Youri has trained. Both are available.”

Evans?

“He’s still suffering a wee bit with his thigh.”

Any other knocks?

“Everything is clearing up now, which is pleasing.”

Maddison contract?

“It’s been a conversation the club have been having for a while. His contract is clear where it’s at. For me, it’s about making sure James is playing at the best level he can be. He’s staying available and fit.”

You speak with him personally?

“Yeah, I speak openly with the players, especially with the situation with him. We have a whole host of players out of contract in the next 18 months. That connection between the manager and player is important. It’s a constant dialogue.”

What would it mean for Maddison to sign?

“It’d be great. He’s a top player in the league. He’s shown that in his time here gradually. You can see that development take place. We improve players and give them great conditions to work in. But I won’t be begging a player to stay. They get great support here and if they’ve been here, they understand what the club is about. Players' careers are short and they have to think about the future. I understand what they’re thinking.”

Got a funny feeling we'll come away from this game with something

We're always struggling there and invite pressure no matter the form of both teams. Hope you're right and we'll get away with something. Tbh I don't like the games against ManU. From the 1st second I have a feeling that refs are looking to point at the spot for a penalty while they let Fernandez whine constantly.

And that's been going on for years (in both boxes) when VAR was supposed to stop it. I dislike VAR as much as the next but I think it improves the chances of not getting stitched up as in previous seasons.
