We're always struggling there and invite pressure no matter the form of both teams. Hope you're right and we'll get away with something. Tbh I don't like the games against ManU. From the 1st second I have a feeling that refs are looking to point at the spot for a penalty while they let Fernandez whine constantly.

Haven’t  lost there since pre covid ……

We didn't. 2 games. I'm just pointing out how I feel about these games against them despite the positive results we had. I reckon you agree that games against ManU have this frustration factor amongst our fans for the reasons I mentioned above. I'm mostly talking about the away fixtures. At home we had some exciting games all these years.

But not the game that really mattered ……

I can see a hard fought draw where either side will have moments to win it. We need a little luck with decisions at OT anyway.

our new defense will get severely tested by rashford hope they are relishing the challenge. If they manage to keep him quiet  that will be really something.

My head says still going into this expecting to lose.

Heart has seen enough since the window closed to say we could get something.

Honestly, as long as we play like we have been doing I won't be mad even if we lose by a couple. All I've wanted to see all season is a bit of tenacity and a team that looks bothered. The mentality of the new players was what I was most worried about, but both Souttar and then Kristiansen dropped clangers then went on to have awesome games in the past fortnight. We don't look beaten as soon as we concede anymore.

Mirror of the Barca game. 2-2.

With Ten Hag in charge they'll be going for it in all tournament they are in but I wonder when they'll start running out of steam? Their fixture list is brutal.

Hoping they are a little tired from Thursday and with one eye on Thursday and the League Cup final.

I ought to give Utd under Ten Hag way more credit and respect than i do, but they really dont impress me which I think is more just how vulgar they were before he arrived and its still not computed yet that they are the real deal under him.

To me it appears that Rashford and Casimero are carrying the entire team, but there must be more to it than that.

I think we have a chance of getting a result on Sunday and against Arsenal next week but whatever happens I expect us to pose them problems and let's hope we can take the opportunities and defend as well as can be expected.

Do these lot tend to rest players between 2 legs of europe? Especially against a huge match vs Barca  that is winnable.

No Ten Hag generally doesn't rotate. However to others points made their fixtures coming up might mean we see 1 or 2.

Casemiro out for them is a big boost for our hopes of nabbing a result. A draw at OT would be impressive by the lads.

Let's break that 2-2 against Barca down. They appeared the better team but conceded from a corner, an a cross into the box for all the good attacks through Rashford mostly it appears a glaring weakness. Now when you think we've scored 8 goals in two games, there's every reason to be optimistic.

100 percent this. None of their other attacking players have looked dangerous at all

Psychologically manu will be slightly distracted by their upcoming 2nd leg game. They will not want to get into an intense basketball game with us for 90 min as they’ll get knackered.
let’s see if Rogers can masterclass 10haggis. Gonna be a race to get 2 goals then shut shop. Enjoy!

Us shutting up shop brings back so many horrible memories

Bizarre isn't it...one week I'm wondering if we have the ability to beat a non league team and the next I'm thinking it's totally plausible we could beat a champions league contender

Were there always concerns about Maddison's fitness? Seen some Man Utd fans wish he was still injured.

Brendan never said anything pre spurs but post match said he'd only trained Thursday and Friday last week. At this week's press conference, he's did Madison was fine and trained fully.

*Obviously, what Brendan says and the reality aren't always aligned...
