Would giving someone like a former fox in gary rowett be a gamble. Seems to always build a good solid side where ever he's been... except stoke.

I'd add Mark Robbins to the former foxes list.

There's a plethora of viable candidates that the club could look at, all of whom would do better than what Brendan is currently delivering

Yes. Decent option if we went down. Imo I’d go for Robins if we did drop.

The sort of long term options we would want won't come now.
The sort of long term options we want also won't come in summer if we get relegated

The sort of short term options we want, but don't want long term will want a longer contract than we want to give them

The sort of short term managers we don't want will snap our arms off

I genuinely believe Dyche would have kept us up, I can’t believe so many were against it even for a 6/7 month stint.

This is my only gripe with something like Allardyce - I do think a big part of our problem is that there's such an eye on the next move out of here. In an ideal world you could get somebody like that in for a few months but it doesn't address the lack of long term commitment to anything. We'd at least become more organised though.

Emery or Dyche would've upturned us no doubt about it. We should've got Dyche on 18 months. I don't care what anyone says - it would never be this bad.

Emery would not have been a short-term appointment.  You bring him in, it's the next phase of the project.

They've left it too late now.  If they axe the toadstool it's either going to be interim for the rest of the way (and this is the toadstool's assistants we're talking about) or somebody like Big Sam.  Things are so dire now that even that would be a step forward, but it all should have been done long ago.

I think to bring in somebody who wants to be here a while we've likely missed the boat, unless we went for somebody like Solskjaer (please god no). Somebody like Slot I think would've come here if we'd sacked Rodgers when we should've done. He might be tempted in the summer too if we do dig ourselves out of this, but right now we're a big risk for anybody.

I really think we've blown it.

Literally anyone keeps us up just based on the weight off the shoulders it would give the fans and atmosphere to get us over the line. Interim until the summer.

The we can look at the likes of Slot, Amorim, Frank, Gallardo, Postecoglu, Kompany, Carrick or Potter (if he gets the boot from Chelsea by then) in the summer.

The problem with us is we only appoint managers the vast majority of fans have heard of. We’ve never a recruited a manager that’s never worked in England before.

I think it would be Knudsen until the end of the season personally.

Has youth international management experience, made an instant impact with his set piece stuff until that got bashed out of us too!

He’s managed Kristiansen a fair few times as well.

At this stage it will have to be a caretaker. Someone not part of the Rodgers click who will stay. That leaves Stowell, Rudkin or the youth coaches. They’ve left it too late unfortunately. Staying up now is pot luck.

in the summer, it depends which league we are in.

Xabi Alonso for me

What on earth would he leave Bayer Leverkusen for us? I was pleading for us to take a chance on him after he left Sociedad B as you can clearly tell he's going to be a class act, but it's too late now for us and him.
