The problem with getting someone in till the end of the season is that often then rolls over into giving them the start of the next season if they do OK, when really if we are going to give it to a mercenary till the end of the season it needs to be 100% that we then go after a proper, solid target in the summer.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is the 5/1 favourite to succeed Rodgers, with Postecoglou rated as the 17/2 second favourite. Other managers listed as early contenders by the bookmakers include Rafael Benitez (9/1), Marcelo Bielsa (10/1), Mauricio Pocchetino (10/1) and Ralph Hasenhuttl (10/1). Neil Lennon, formerly of Celtic an ex-Leicester player, is rated at 16/1.

Not the worst option. We'd be solid at the back at least

Behave bloody dreadful manager doubt he could manage peeing after 10 pints unless his wife directed him

Can't see Thomas Frank coming even if he was offered the job. If he did it would have to be for substantial money.

Given what Brentford are paying and what Brendan got, money IS the reason he would come.

I speculated a while back that I felt Knudsen would be the perfect interim, given he has managed Danish youth sides and been an AM before.

Not sure if perhaps he’s left with BR but not been mentioned?

Either way if he is still here I’d expect him

to play a big part alongside Stowell and Sadler

Why would they mention the fitness coach and Davies leaving but not Knudsen if he also left?

He's still here, remember, he's a "new" appointment and not one from the Rodgers one man show era

Wait for potter. He’s on the brink.

We'll be relegated if we wait. Plus if Leicester approach him now, it's a breach of contract from Chelsea.

They need to look for someone available now.

I get the impression he’s a bit of a freelance type. He still works for USA and I believe still does some bits with Denmark.

Hopefully still here though :)

Need to do a Palace and get a Hodgson. Someone virtually out of retirement for one final pay day. No quibbles beyond the end of the season

Rafa for me. Would makes us hard to beat and we have enough to score the odd goal

My worry is will he take a short-term deal, he will at least have the reputation to command a 2-year deal out of this, and then we get Rafa ball. I'd rather go down than watch Rafa ball.
