Thomas Frank would be a great fit but I expect he'll not jump ship due to our situation. However a few more to consider (?)

- Chris Wilder

- Paul Heckingbottom (unlikely as may prefer to risk going up rather than down!)

- Scott Parker (hopefully not)

- Giovanni Van Bronckhurst

Rafa, Pochchettino etc.. - forget it. We need someone to fight to keep us in the PL and then build from the bottom up.

I'd also like to see a shake-up at board level. Top is out of his depth and I get the impression those around him only have their interests at heart. Perhaps Gary Linker would be a good mentor.

Parker and wilder lol

You want someone to keep us up, or get us up next season? Realistically, chances are we're going to struggle to turn this round, not enough good players, particularly at the back.

I honestly don’t think it matters who we get. They’ll probably keep us up. This squad has more than enough talent. We just need someone with fresh ideas to keep us up. I don’t even think we need to worry about next season right now. Maybe that sounds silly but we’re down as things stand.

The current squad have to prove they also have the resolve , something not apparent for most of the season. Half the side will be off anyway at seasons end. Total mess.

I'd take it if we couldn't get someone else, he's got a proven track record, but I really would not want him past the last match!

I’d take Rafa as an interim but not past the summer which would probably be inevitable.

Is Rafa that broke ?  He’s on record last month saying he’ll only take on a job that’s a project.

I've worked with Hecky, he's a top guy and I respect him massively, but definitely not for me.

Would hope that any half decent manager would look at our squad and our fixtures and back themselves to keep us  up. Sure the board have a few coals in fires and a couple of decent results in the next week could make a very different picture

If Potter gets the boot and we somehow stay up then I reckon he'd be looking at a club like ours.

If not we really need to be looking at someone capable of a big rebuild

Wilder lol

I don't know what goes through people's heads when they come up with those lists. Is it genuinely just who was sacked and not in the league anymore?

only 1 id have out of them is Frank, but he wont come,
wilder-no, average to say the least

Heckingbottom- no, not a good manager imo

Parker- NO, already shown hes out his depth at premier level
GVB- No, awful at Rangers

Lens manager is a decent one(but wont come) Arne Slot another, but imo we wont appoint a long term manager until the summer

Rafa is the man . He's also got previous in getting Newcastle back up.

We’ll end up with Perez a new 4 year deal and him leaving in October.

I think it will be a short term replacement to the end of the season. Bigger decisions will be made on league status. If we stay up then surely we could make Kompany an offer to consider, the downside being we know he'd be off in a few years so can we build a project around him?

If we go down, I'd go and get Michael Duff from Barnsley. It's not a big appointment, it's not flashy, but he is everything this club would need in terms of the type of honest guy he is, the standards he would bring and the work he puts into developing players.

Potters 2 teams now have struggled to score goals. If he can't make a team like Chelsea score goals, I've little faith in him being of any use to us.

With just 10 games to go, it probably would be best to have someone like Rafa. Doesn't matter if the football is exciting or not, we just need to win.

Dyche would 100% of been the person to get. We knew we were in a relegation battle early into the season and should have done it then.

I think that's largely down to personnel though. At Brighton he only really had Maupay or Welbeck and Chelsea for some strange reason don't like to play with an out amd out striker
