There is definitely an argument to be had that, at least for the time being, the taking the knee has lost some of its intended impact, and has run its course and served its purpose. But 3 seconds of kneeling is hardly worth having an aneurysm over, is it?

I reckon after 500+ years of this type of discriminatory imbalance, leading to Government institutional stamped in many countries racism, leading to actual society in schooling educational ,inhumane wrongs or moral misdoings.

Police-authorities OTT everyday actions against peoples who only just happen to have a different skin colour or even cultural differences Not just the targeting USA,but world wide, including black on coloured ( visa-versa) mishandling of others because they are of simply different skin pigmentation.

I reckon 2-100yrs of taking the knee in sport, even repative re-awakening of the reason why !!

Should never be looked at negative just because Mr Whitey and others ( who victimise their own) are simply getting bored of it..

Football reaches out far and wide and over generations. Each generation can take something from the last, this dire attitude eventually will die it's own death,

THE platform has given all something to build on and yet feel uncomfortable, to take through their lives, the danger is if every time we just let it lie, because it doesn't fit into our individual life's routine of needed thought & action.

How the fvck was that Latvia player not sent off for that knee-high tackle?!

He actually tried to do it again around 80ish minutes. Really wild flying leg on Wilson, was lucky to miss. Insane.

Didn’t know really where to put this, what’s everyone’s thoughts on Southgate? If rumours are true about him leaving after the euro’s, who’s a realistic appointment to replace him?

As long its not another manager who bows down to all that woke BS i'll be happy.

Probably Potter realistically as he is out of a job .

Maybe Eddie Howe if he leaves Newcastle.

Just anyone that'll make the most of the unbelievable attacking talent available to them, with the plums to try and win a match against a comparable team in a game that matters.

Really not looking forward to the aftermath of tonight's game.

Either England win amd we have to take being mocked and laughed at on the chin OR, we win and our fans completely over-react and embarrass us anyway.

I would say a draw would be good but we would celebrate that as a win and that's embarrassing too.

He isn’t going to play Foden , Maddison , Grealish , Saka and Bellingham all in one team though.

Obviously just doesn’t fancy Foden - nor has Pep all the time.

And Grealish had to wait a season to be a mainstay at City .

Do agree there is no need for 2 defensive midfielders in every game however .

6 changes probably shows how we see it whereas Scotland are unchanged.

That's prob more down to Southgate not knowing his best starting 11 yet. We do and it's pretty much the one we've went with tonight.

Hopefully pay off then.!

Guess you would have Saka in normally too.

Less than 7 full games of match time since the start of last season

6 minutes this season

593 minues last season

How is Kalvin Phillips even in the England squad, let alone starting?

The Scottish media pay more attention to the clubs outside of Manchester and London, than the English media do.
