Whilst I have no doubt Rudders did not choose Ayew (That is probably on Cooper) - he agrees the length of contract, salary and fees.  As head of Football Operations, he should simply tell Cooper this is not the direction the Club should be heading given our limited Transfer budget. Then suggest the Recruitment Barmy Army come up with some more appropriate options and pretty frigging quick as they have had months to carry out this task.

 

As I see it, this is why Rudkin is receiving this criticism for this specific transfer.  Pandering to Cooper on this, is a mistake, Rudders did this with Rogers and look where that took us?

Why do we pay 23.5m for him when no other club was interested, give that money to Brighton and they would have found at least 3 up and coming players from south America
