He won’t get rid of Rudkin because Top ain’t got a clue what’s going on and the won’t be surprised if he asks him “which way we kicking? Or are we in blue?” So he sadly needs Rudkin.

And that is the main problem....Top,while I really think he means we'll hasn't got a clue about the nuts and bolts of the club and is misguided in his trust of anyone at board level....i would feel sorry for him,but he has to grow a backbone and realise it ain't working....you,me and everyone without their blue tinted glasses on can see it,so why can't Top?If I was him I'd take the whole plan(if their is one) away, put it into a power point presentation and show the senior management at King Power(being a multi million pound organisation they must have some people with business acumen!)

Might be a humbling experience, but if we carry on like this the outcome will be alot worse.

If Top sells up I suspect he goes with him to prioritise the horses.

Wouldn't say no to American ownership tbh, like with Birmingham, Swansea (aside from Modric - in whom still don't understand his link there, like with Snoop Dog...) and Wrexham - who all seem to be benefitting well from it, albeit different club budgets and situations.

Can King Power ever be back to their usual self business-wise?

I remember Vichai saying after a couple of years being here,he hoped we would be self sustaining.

Obviously very broadly speaking here but isn't their tactic to send ticket prices sky high.

I seem to remember Enzo saying we needed more footballing knowledge in the club - and thats what Rudkin lacks - a global perspective with reliable contacts around the world. Thats what helps get deals done quickly and ensures you get value in those deals.

A report on Brownhills today sums it up well. On a free at modest wages he's an astute signing, but on 70 grand for four years he's likely to become another sub Premier player we can't sell...

And in any case Brownhills is right on our doorstep- there just has to be a 20 yo Academy reject somewhere in the world desperate to prove themselves and who will accept less money for playing a similar role..

Absolutely spot on !
Or give our kids a go instead of the same old tired rejects.
I give up !!!

I dont think we have done to badly so far with out goings.

3 players out. A lot of money in wages off the books and we are currently sitting at around 22 million profit.

He is far from my favourite person and I think we are long overdue a change at DoF but in the last week he has moved on two high earners in Coady for £2m and Wilf for £9m and will have also sold Mads for £18m to the only club genuinely interested in doing a deal. Hopefully we will now use that money to bring in 2/3 players to suit Marti’s style of play.

I am still hopeful JJ, Faes and Soumare are shifted on in the next couple of weeks as well.

I will judge him at the end of the window as to whether he has had a successful summer wheeling and dealing.

Wilf had a release clause. I'd be holding any praise for the fella quite yet.

We got rid of plenty last time we got relegated, that's the easy part. If it's the players that have remaining without any hint of deal what proves his worth.

£18m for Hermansen… Another negotiating masterclass from this charlatan.

Don't think it's that disastrous at all? Considering some of his other dealings in previous windows.

Coady and Ndidi gone too, we even got a fee for Coady. All on big money.

We have almost quadrupled the value of Hermansen and we are in the league below, you can never demand top prices when you go down.

We're 2 days away from the start of the season and have signed 38 year old Begovic. We'll lose El Khanouss and maybe Fatawu and be left with a bunch of bang average players.

Now you might say that's all due to financial climate we find ourselves in but let's not forget he's a major part of that. The bloke is inept

I am no fn of Rudkin as I have said, I am not saying he is doing a good job, he should have gone 2 summers ago as part of the internal review however all I am saying is, we have managed to move on 2 of our highest wage earners and bring in £11m plus sold our goalkeeper for £18m which hopefully gives us some room for manoeuvre to bring in a couple of players.

£30m or so in sales and by my reckoning about 400k per week off the wage bill so in terms of managing finances and PSR we are moving in the right direction, however I still would make the change at DoF level as it’s the deadwood that he seems to struggle to move on, what I am hoping is we have now realised we have to be sensible in our valuations to move players on.

So Rudkin according to Leicester Fan TV is doing a good job of offloading some high wage earners and getting 18 million for Hermanson the only way he would be doing a decent job this window if he goes and get players that will make the team better and not some aging has been

On the other hand how much was Coady signed for and weekly salary.

The bloke massively out of his depth and needs gone asap

You can criticize Rudkin fair and square, but I think it is sensible to sell first, before buying new players.

Let's not forget these transfer dealings can take up a lot of time before coming to fruition.

There will be a few more outgoings, I'm sure of that.

Having said that, I do expect us to sign at least three new players before the transfer window closes – an attacking midfielder, a striker and a defensive midfielder.

I think the club sees the opener against Wednesday as less of a challenge (no disrespect to the opposition), so no immediate squad improvements needed.

He was the one that gave them those contracts in the first place! Like Ric said on the BSLB pod once, if someone sets your house on fire and then puts the smouldering ashes out with a hose, do you thank them? Of course you don't.

It’s the Championship, where the average annual salary is about 15m, those bang average players would be highly desired in most of the clubs in the league

I am not thanking him nor am i singing his praises or ignoring his previous mistakes, all I am saying is so far we have been sensible in trying to move on some of the highest earners and we have been sensible in having to accept a compromise deal with West Ham for Mads, whereas in previous years I think we would have been stubborn, dug in our heels and held onto a player which then invariably backfires on us.

He is still woefully out of his depth however this summer there does at least seem a little more realism in our valuations to help move on players, that is all I am saying.
