Bang average team that’s going down. You can plan down to the finest detail but what’s cost us this week is brain farts by Ndidi and Maddison that were punished to the maximum. Team selection today though was baffling.

Genuinely haven't felt like this watching the team since 2002. Even the team that went down to League One felt more in the contest than this.

They didn't concede goals for a ****ing laugh to start with did they😂

Any manager that comes in has a seriously tough job to get anything out of this team. Sadler/Stowell though are bloody useless, not got a clue so just a proper manager would be an improvement at least and up our chances of a miracle

I've taken this from the Guardian's comments page. Sums it up, really. Depressing as hell:

":

I think our stay is over and, in some ways, perhaps that's for the best. With the numerous out of contract players and the prospect of losing our "best" one already on the cards there's a huge rebuild already trailed by the now departed Rodgers. So we could face another season doing little but trying to survive even if we stay up. Relegation will mean maybe another 3 or 4 being poached so a very different team for next season.

We have to face up to the fact this league is rigged in favour of a handful of teams. An Arsenal fan on another comment section came to the Leicester page to ask what has happened? I didn't reply. It's impossible to explain to entitled people how a system works in favour of a handful when they're the beneficiaries - we live in a country where we're conditioned not to see it wherever it is. Some of us who even have a bit of money will, in the long term, never have quite enough to topple the status quo. That's the fate of the Leicesters, Brightons, Brentfords, West Hams, Wolves, Southamptons, and so on.

We've had an amazing 9 years. The FA Cup win is a day I'll never forget and never believed I'd see. The league title was like living in a dream (especially as my life elsewhere was disintegrating all around me) and we've had some exciting forays in Europe. The entitled ones can kick us out, but we will cherish those moments far more than they ever do, because we recognise how special they are. I actually feel sad in some ways that they'll never really have that understanding.

So next year will be different. I'm resigned to a life in the lower league and I hope it won't be back to back relegations. I'll be happy if we just stay up next year and build something of a stable side. Maybe we will be back sooner rather than later. As for the likely replacement; Marsch seems like a nice guy but I'm not greatly convinced. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

I'm sad it's pretty much over but there's no sign of great escapes this time around."

To quote the great Jez Usborne

Everything has turned from gold to shit.

What on earth has happened at this club to cause us to fritter away the brilliant standing and foundations we had in such short time?

I hope we'll find out when the dust settles because it's mind boggling how quickly we've gone from the best run club in league to worst by a mile.

Rip the glory years 2014-2021.

We're absolutely going down.

If/when the players start to think the same way, it'll become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Maybe it's already begun.

Started with a midfield 2 of Soumare and Ndidi and they wondered why they couldnt control or dominate the game? Fcking hilarious. How about playing some midfielders who can actually pass a football i.e Mendy, Praet etc instead of 2 sloggers

On Bournemouth, they are actually awful, we are obviously worse but made them look like Man City.

there is always a team that finishes higher than they deserve purely based on playing the right teams and the right time. Bournemouth are that team this season when you look at who they beat and when they beat them like Fulham etc.

Agreed, far too many like Stowell and Sadler who have been here years and are cushy. Time for a change of approach

time for new ownership.

No. Rodger’s should have started the rebuild and bought a load of shit he didn’t want to play… then rather than creating an us against them mentality, he chucked everyone under his he bus and blamed them rather than himself.

Oh and his shite fitness team wrecked numerous players long term fitness and ability. It’s not on all of them, not sacking the **** earlier is on them!

again with this same old excuses, it all comes across somewhat delusional im afraid, mostly because its all make believe from an outsiders perspective. You cant actually know any of this but from media interviews or from hearing rumours. I have always put blame on the players /ownership and these last two games just cement my thoughts cause with BR leaving, the mentality is still weak as ever and  worse even. removing him made no difference

Really poor setup from the 2 caretakers. When we started to push forward, we actually looked decent. Why not just give it a go.

The amount of goals we concede with misplaced pass in our own half.

Please can we have a manager in place. Any manager will do. Pick one from Argos, or Tesco.

Not Argos, too much messing around at the back, don't get stuff forwards quickly enough

Hard to believe what I’ve just seen.

At home, against a relegation rival, a relegation 6 pointer, and we start with literally three attacking players on the pitch.

The chuckle brothers bring back the shite that is Amartey and Soumare. We don’t score and they could have easily scored 3 or 4 if it wasn’t for good saves from Iversen.

We deserve to go down. A decent proportion of this forum deserves us to go down to. Any talk of relegation has been hit with criticism, there’s been cult-hero worship of Dan Amartey and quite a few have said that Soumare will be fine going forward. Oh, and that Souttar looks ‘a good buy’.

What a lot of hot air.

The chickens, kids, have come home to roost.

Yep, wouldn't swap the last nine years for anything. Don't give me mid-table every year above winning the title, FA Cup, European semi-final, quarter-final. So we go again. So be it. Shame to end with such a whimper but that's life.

Like I said earlier.  This is the worst Leicester City side I've ever seen relative to the division we are in, in over 30 years of supporting them.

Frank mclintocks side in the late 70s was worse ...........just!!!

Had a lovely day out walking in the sun today, resisting the urge to check my phone for the score. Had a look now and its amazing how little I care anymore.

Bournemouth and Southampton have both done the double over us this season. Nothing else needs to be said, we deserve to go down, we’re pathetic and have no leaders/characters in this inept squad of overpaid filth.
