Dreading it. The way the club is operating currently we are far more likely to rot in that division than we are of doing a Burnley.

Absolutely they had a core and have recruited very well.

But Imagine not buying anyone and not sacking your manager due to FFP and funding while the future of your premier league status is at risk.

And how do you think this board isn’t going to behave when they have all these loans to pay back, one sellable big asset (Madders) and a smaller revenue stream. With so many players out of contract and those likely to leave as BR systematically ignored (Mendy).

I’m not sure we’ll have a competitive squad for a year or two. They want sustainability but they put their trust in a complete fraud and it’ll cost them more than the £10m they were dithering about over sacking BR previously.

If by some miracle Ted Lasso pulls something out of his backside then it’s going to get much much worse.

The championship might be a blessing in disguise…hear me out.

We were going to have a massive overhaul this summer anyway with us losing players for free. If we’d stayed up we’d have struggled to replace them with premier league quality so at least now we can rebuild with parachute payments under the stewardship of Ted Lasso.

Iversen and VK apart they can all get in the bin. Our feckless hierarchy will hang on and on for transfer fees we will never get for players so we’ll not have anything like a squad together for the start of next season. Any idea of coming straight back next season is laughable. Club absolutely rotten to the core

Worth mentioning that we'll not have much money from parachute payments given our loans have been backed against future TV revenue so expect us to barely have any money to spend and much needed slashing of the wage bill

The positives, we’ll have a whole new look next season, with players that want to be here 🤷🏼‍♂️

Maybe…

We already have 8 out of contract.

Maddison, Barnes will be sold for decent money.

The likes of Praet, Castange, Nacho will all bring money in.

Look at what happened to Sunderland after they went down and I can see that being our fate too. We'll have to shift all of the dross we have now on silly money with no relegation clauses and will probably end up with an assortment of free transfers, loanees and other dross. I don't trust this board to get things right at all.

Serious question… are we in any risk of going bust… with the amount of money we are going to lose?
Do parachute payments still exist?
FFP in the football league, don’t they have a bit more bite than the weak premier league?

Might be dramatic but hopefully someone with more idea on the financial impact can tell me what we are looking at. I’m expecting fines, points deductions and youth players in the starting XI but is that being overly dramatic?

Think the potential financial trouble we are in is the most worrying thing of all. Other clubs will know this  in the summer and make lowball offers for players we will need to move on, which our idiot board will reject leaving our wage bill utterly unsustainable.

End of an era for the club. At best we’ll hover around midtable in the championship for 4-5 seasons while new owners come in and a succession of managers are appointed trying to get us back up.

When we do get promoted back to the PL, we will be favourites for relegation. None of the glory or foundations from our most successful ever spell will remain.

Even with parachute payments, we will need a year to digest the remaining contracts for Vardy, Vestergaard and Ward who won't produce in the Championship either.

Need to stabilize, try to finish midtable, and improve from the beginning of the season to the end.  Then we will have ONE YEAR of financial wiggle room to get back up before the payments end.

What Parachute Payments? They are all going to the bank to pay off the loans we took out. We are ****ed

Yes. We're in genuine danger of dissolving.

Pretty sure our parachute payments go to the financiers for Seagrave and we still have a top half Premier League wage bill.

As an aside can anyone find the article that confirms that?

I rarely watch the U23’s, so maybe somebody can help, have we players that will be decent in the championship? Brunt, Alves, Braybrooke perhaps?

What about this stadium expansion we need to pay for? What about the massive training facility we need to run? And the second training ground we need to maintain?

We are Christian Fuchsed.

We don’t expand, simple.

That’s the only 3… the rest are average.

We’ve got a couple out on loan who might get a game though
