That's the problem with Stokes and Bazball, unbelievable arrogance. In my mind Stokes has been pretty terrible with the bat since we've adopted the new style.

It is reactionary. But inevitable when you come out and play ridiculously like Stokes as just done. Made a mess of a reverse sweep immediately.

 

He can wait an over or two, just after a wicket has fallen.

I certainly agree with the judgement on Stokes alone here, but the implication that England should abandon the style that has pretty much turned their entire Test fortune around with the same players as a result (and yes, that is what is being implied IMO, otherwise why mention it at all, just mention Stokes) is, frankly, absurd.

I think people can be critical of Stokes he's too good a player to cheap getting out cheaply.
