I just don’t think it’s worth the risk of getting a Vincent Tan or Mike Ashley. All football club owners are detestable but ours are on the better end of the scale.

Voted yes on basis of how things are right now , I just don't see Top having the gumption , wherewithal or bottle for the task at hand. Would love him to prove me wrong, I just don't see it any time soon.

Best chance we will ever have to establish ourselves at the top table and in true Leicester fashion made a mess of it. If we aren't careful this will take longer to recover from than the Taylor years

Nope, love the King Power group despite this year.

However, Top needs to realise this is a cutthroat industry that will chew you up and spit you out unless you constantly adapt and improve. Keeping the same people around you just cause you have good relationships with them is not enough.

Voted from them to stay but IMVVHO it depends what their plans are. Loyalty and respect they tell me are massively important in Thai culture, Top has shown far too much loyalty to some and plenty have shown little loyalty or respect back. Will not be the first time they have put their money in to sort out a mess of their making so for me it will be based on what they want to do but things have to change big time. On a positive a state of the art training facility should be a major benefit but it has failed miserably so far. The amount of injuries and the fact a lot of the players just are not fully fit is shocking and that is down to Rodgers and his ego and attitude last summer. Announcing ex amount of players on stupid money were being moved on was crazy, stupidity at its finest. They were not welcome and caused a major rift in the squad. Sort out the fitness and injuries of the players and use Seagrave to its full potential and we can recover. If the owners do want to get us straight back up there are plenty of managers who will look at what is on offer and jump at it. This is a massive decision  and if King Power are staying they need to get this right

Everything being done suggests that external debt is very much part of our future strategy (which is not a criticism in itself). Time will tell.

Every club has debt pretty much, not every club has owners who back that debt.

No.

No, I don't 'want' them to sell.

But if they don't complete a wholesale restructure and invest bigly via a dodgy marketing company no one has ever heard of - they have to sell up and go.

This is it. Sad that people actively want them to go but it's needs must. The Newcastle takeover was the final nail in the coffin for football so we might as well sell our soul now. Probably won't be a premier league in 20 years time so some filthy rich owner who hasn't got a clue would be fun for a few years

Vichai had a vision and Pearson and co executed it.

Top's only vision was obeying Brendan's ego.

Either Top needs to become active or employ a decent DOF.

If he can't do either then he should look to sell.

If you think they are lining up to spend silly money at a club like yours you are going to be disappointed.

That is not a valid reason to get rid of ownership. They ALL make mistakes, every single owner. It’s basically impossible to not make mistakes.

The cut and dry of it is, under them we’ve won the championship, the premier league, the charity shield and the fa cup, finishing 5th twice. Whilst putting substantial amounts into the club and trying to build something bigger than we were, so that in the long term we are better equipped to not getting sucked into the cyclical nature of football clubs our size.

There is a reason no club our size has ever managed to maintain it.

The biggest question is KP’s appetite for the club now, as we don’t have someone at the top invested as much into the club as Vichai was..

There’s clubs much smaller than us that have managed to be much stable PL clubs for longer than we have

Unfortunately Top out his trust in people who were and are incompetent. He has had massive issues with King Power through Covid and I imagine his eye was on other balls. Doesn’t excuse him. He has made mistakes which need to be urgently rectified. Vichai was a different man. He built everything. Watched everything and was not afraid to act. That is not the case now.

Brendan was the focus and seed of our downfall, but the board and Top fed and watered that seed.

No mistake this will be a long and hard road back.

And they blew it. By repeating mistakes and not reacting fast enough to fix them. You again allude to the need for change in your last comment, he's not as invested. Do we want someone thats not as invested leading the club through a critical time?

We also can't keep living on past glories either otherwise we'd end up like Forest and Derby fans.

King Power died with Vichai. Its been a gradual decline ever since. Top has no balls, no vision and quite frankly, no interest. Thanks for the memories, but do us a favour and close the door on the way out.

Gradual decline involving 2/3 of the club’s best ever finishes and our first ever FA cup win?

We owe nearly all our success to “Pearson & Co”

Does Vichai really deserve a statue outside the stadium? We’ll always be reminded of how his beloved King Power company & son destroyed our club when we’ve been in the championship for the next 35 years.

To be fair it probably doesn’t need as much as Vichai gave it if you employ well qualified, suitable people for the major roles within the club.

I've always felt the club was in good hands financially, the biggest cause for concern is the lack of leadership over the summer, Piper said it best last night after the game, I don't know why Brendan wasn't on the same page as the club, either you let him change it or you get rid.....his constant calling the players out at the end of last season and moaning about the quality of the squad at the start of the season has just had a massive detrimental effect on the whole club, completely held off pulling the trigger when you think that when Villa got rid of Gerrard we were above them and I don't understand how we didn't have anyone lined up to come straight in, I feel with the lack of leadership we can easily languish in the championship for years to come

Great, they won the league and FA Cup whilst also getting a new training ground and wanting to expand the ground, to actually WANT to do more than plodding around in 15th every season.

How do you know he’s not invested? They just wrote off £100m of debt.

Voted No, Top has had a rough few years with his Dad passing, King Power business over Covid. we could end up a Mike Ashley or remember the Oyston ownership at Blackpool.

Over the KP ownership, we have had more up's then downs. Yes Top took the piss getting rid of BR, overall thier ownership has not been bad. They have donated to LOROS, Leicester Royal Infirmary, paid for season tickets for some fans, free frinks at some games. etc etc

How many other owners do that

You said in your post he wasn't invested into the club as much as vichai was.

Everyone makes mistakes i'm not blind to that but i'm not blind to the fact that the mistakes are being repeated here and the owner is retaining faith far too long in a leadership team that isn't working. Just like he did with Rodgers.

I agree. Backing that debt is easier (its never easy) when it holds benefits. The realistic possibility we are about to face is that lending will be required and backing it will not be as easy to do - this is a genuine test to the theory.
