To have any chance of a miracle, we need to cut out handicapping ourselves with incompetence by:

(1) Droping Ndidi

(2) Starting Mendy

(3) Dropping Faes

(4) Starting Soyuncu if fit or if not then Souttar

Then we have no choice but to go all out attack by playing both Vardy and Daka up front

I know where you are coming from.

However, given the torture repeatedly inflicted on us this season I have a horrible feeling that we won’t be down but will be in the relegation zone with safety out of our hands for the West Ham game…which means we will all be lured with our fingers crossed one last time back to the King Power - only to be stricken with even more pain (as v Spurs in 2020/21) by one final fatal bottle job last-day letdown.

In a way I guess that would be the most appropriate climax for this Season from Hell.

Yep, fully expect them to both flunk it, Forest to luck it like usual and be safe with a game left. Fully expect Coventry to go up too.

If Maddison starts against the toon is he realistically going to try and gain a win that could potentially prevent them getting into the champions league next season?

“Don’t bite the hand that feeds you”

Will feed you.

I’d drop him, out of the squad.

Yep this lot will be 4 down by Half Time ......than less he dumps a few completely put in Thomas, Souttar, Mendy........Castagne, Tielemans, Soyuncu, Faes, Barnes all need dropping and leaving out the squad .....I would probably include Maddison too but if we put people that care around him maybe his natural quality may give us a moment of inspiration......................................who am i kidding?

Anyone believing this is on drugs or needs urgent medical help.

What, you don't agree with him that we've played crap and now have to win the last two games? Seems pretty unarguable to me!

Gonna be an interesting call come West Ham regarding the players "appreciation lap". Particularly as a number will be leaving. Can see the Birch saying something about staying after to let players show their appreciation despite it being a terrible outcome etc...

Question is how many will be arsed to hang around to wave off Youri, Madders, Cags and Co?

Well, considering they were chucking free tee shirts back at half time last night (a big deal to your average tight city fan) i don't think there's gonna be much throwing waves about!

We'll likely go into the last day a couple of points from safety, knowing we have a very slim chance of staying up if Leeds and Everton both somehow fail to win their games. We'll be winning 1-0 until the 86th minute, when Faes will fall over allowing Antonio to slip in and equalise for West Ham. Then on the final whistle we'll learn that Everton and Leeds did indeed fluff their lines and we'd have survived if we'd just held onto the lead.

Just like against spurs for us to get CL the other year.

That’s not the issue, we are 10th in the league for goals scored, Man Utd in 4th have only scored 2 more then us, the issue is the other end we are 18th in the league for goals conceded

That’s not the point though, that statistic is misleading.

The point is we concede so many goals because we play too negatively and invite pressure on the defence. As was highlighted before the season started, we’re actually quite clinical for the amount of chances we create.

And if the other post is true, the statistic is even more misleading because we’ve dished out a few hammerings rather than regularly scoring goals.

Im currently in Rome. Went to the Vatican with the Mrs today. Im not overly religious but I thought f**k it, whilst im here I might aswell say a prayer to the big man in one last bid to help keep us in the prem....

The moment I stopped praying, some dirty rodent let rip a fart that would have knocked out a weaker man.

That was all the confirmation I needed that we're doomed.

Perhaps it’s a sign that higher powers are going to help us shat over our next two opponents. Inspirational. Tell the players.

Imagine needing a win and having to play a team that look set to be relegated?
What’s the worst that could happen? It’s not like their best CB will get sent off and the team self combust and lose 4-1

Too soon...:(

It’s game on If results go out way over the weekend. If Leeds and Everton draw it won’t be enough to stop us climbing out of the bottom three if we can somehow muster up an extremely unlikely win away at Newcastle.

If we are going to do this, it would have to be in the most dramatic fashion possible.

If it is the case we have a chance on Monday to get out of the bottom three, we need to go hell for leather, all out blood and war.

I can just see the post match moan from Dyche “Well Leicester the market leaders in this race have had to okay West Ham’s under tens because they got a cup final, it isn’t fair”

What if there was a Leeds and Everton fan doing the same as you...

We need luck in terms of something going are way in a game that will boost confidence.

Early couple of goals, later winner something. But it’s all too late I think.

We need to change our mindset. If you asked Coventry fans yesterday if they could win two games to get into the premiership both their players and fans would be up for the challenge. Treat it like two cup finals rather than something to fear.

As woeful as we have been, if we had held on against Brentford on day one, and beaten Saints away, who were utterly there for the taking, we’d have likely stayed up. That’s how bad we’ve had to be to get into this position.

If Everton and Leeds draw and we win then we'd be ahead on goal difference?

So many of these scenarios though throughout the season, which just stress the ppint even more of how inadequate we've been.

If we'd not surrendered the draw vs Villa

If we'd not given away a stupid goal vs Bournemouth

If we'd have scored the penalty vs Everton

If we'd have held on vs Palace for a minute longer

Just a few.

Shows we're not good enough.

Need a bit of belief along with some grit and determination particularly in the central midfield area. I don't think the balance of the team has been right in any of the recent games. Somehow Leicester got away with playing 3 strikers and only 2 in the centre against Wolves but I remember it was only when KDH came on that we looked to have any control. Most important  to keep heads up whatever setbacks occur. It is a tall order against Newcastle who are pretty relentless this season.
