I think that’s the approach needed. Forget the league table forget others! Just go out like it’s the second leg of a playoff game and you’re 1-0 down… it’s the only way to go for me. 

 

im not sure why people want us to aim for a point. There’s just no way everton don’t get a win on the final day. All or nothing now

Yeah. I’m sure our bunch of weak ‘professionals’ would get behind that charade. 
 

You’re right of course and that is how they should approach it. They won’t, of course.

The one thing that has been apparent all season is that every game you think to yourself "well maybe just maybe this might be the turning point" they never amaze me with the new depths they're able to go to. 

 

We're going to get hammered tomorrow and it's not going to be nice.

I saw this team against Fulham 

the players were a disgrace 

the coaching team was inept 

 

it doesn’t matter how we start - we will get found out as the game progresses

That’s not our style, we let the opposition score 3 first before we start taking it seriously. We won the EPL and FA cup m8.

Pick the right team and pick the right formation and send out clear instructions and they could do it. 

 

Smith has the vibe of a Sunday morning coach to me though. I'm not digging him out. He was the only available option with half a decent CV. But the fella is way out his depth.

We had a decent set up last Monday and were very much in the game until klopp changed it 

 

then smith was clueless 

that’s the problem - Howe isnt a master tactician but he’s leagues ahead of smith 

 

Tomorrow evening will be interesting early on because we will probably be set up ok and newcastle start like a train

On the Everton forum there will probably be someone who says no way do Leicester not beat West Ham or Leeds not beat Tottenham.

 

They would be wrong just like you are, the Everton game is far from a shoo in.

We was doing okay until Faes made that error by not clearing the ball then our heads dropped.

If they play anything like they did against Brighton they will beat Bournemouth, more than likely going to be an Everton win there imo.

Bottom line is all three of these teams deserve to be relegated but one will stay up by default, that team is probably Everton solely for the fact that Leeds or Leicester need to get a win between them to stand any chance.

 

It wouldn't be a total shock for none of us to win any of our last four games between us.

 

Just looking at our last ten games all three clubs have been pathetic when push came to shove.

 

Everton 8pts

Leicester 6pts

Leeds 5pts

 

Who could rely on any of these to take care of their own business?

Yeah, but they weren't actually 'must win' 

 

Remarkably tomorrow might not be either (tho we'll only know after last day is complete) 

 

The only must win game there ever is is when it is actually 'must win'
