Why are people surprised people are negative though? I get bored of people saying we shouldn’t be negative. We were like 17 points clear and are now second.

I will be at Ashton Gate though. Optimistic as ever when I’m on the terraces.

Where did I said you shouldn't? Or I'm surprised.

I just have better and more healthy things to do.

Of course it is. Wolves are a better team this season than Chelsea after 28 games

ffs - cant believe i have to write this. Firstly, there are 2 points in it and Chelsea have a game in hand.  Secondly, it doesn't mean that on any day any team will put in a performance befitting of that table position differential especially when you consider these are cup games where teams rotate their main squad. We beat Bournemouth a few weeks back whos 6 game form is better than Chelsea. Doesn't really mean anything at all. Chelseas biggest issue is putting any sort of consistent performance or run of performances together, but on any day they have the quality to put most team away.

For the record, i thought Cov played really well and for most of that game Wolves were really poor.  Would have backed us for a result against Wolves yesterday.

Fair.

That post a couple of weeks back was spot on.

"It's still a 9 point gap"

"It's still a 5 point gap"

"It's still a 3 point gap"

"We're still top on goal difference"

"We have a game in hand"

It's now a complete roll of the dice, two spots for three teams.

Oh stop being negative and get your head stuck in this loveleh, loveleh sand!

I hate to say it but this side has no leadership and no backbone.

There's no comparison to the characters in that Premier League winning team to these bunch of snowflakes.

Hate to be pessimistic but I think we've probably blown it

Did the commentator actually just say that, "It's taken a while but the cream of the Championship has finally risen to the top."

I mean, isn’t that what’s happened though?

It’s been quite clear all season that there’s really not much between the top 4. We’ve been top a lot due to an overperformance in the first 15 games.

Now at the business end of the season and there’s 1 point between the top 3.

Jeez, did anyone seriously expect Ipswich & Leeds not to win this weekend ?
They’ve both had blips, we’ve had ours.
Let’s see how Leeds cope with being top……they never mess things up do they ?
……(’Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again !’), that must ring a bell, no ?

They & Ipswich, especially, have tough games to come.

I still expect Leeds & ourselves to finish in the top 2.
Chill out, have a beer, enjoy the run-in.

Its a 3 way battle for the top 2 slots. Team and the fans have got to rise to the challenge. We have lost all but the thinnest of margins so there is no room for error.

The thing that is most ominous now though is that both Ipswich and Leeds have lost less games than us.  The teams that tend to lose the fewest end up with promotion.

Look, we are Leicester. Drama is in our DNA. The playoffs will be exciting!

You said this place was gonna become a cesspit of negativity and I asked why are you surprised given what we’ve done?

Also I see your healthy choice of logging off has gone well.

Has social media ruined football for some of you? I don't remember in the 90s it ever being this bad whenever we won, lost or free a game. There were no meltdowns, even at the height of our yo-yoing. Is it just that some of you want to lap it up over rival fans on twitter, or that you feel insecure when Leeds fans wind you up on Instagram?

Hopefully serves as a big kick up the arse for our players

Leeds have Cov, Hull and Soton still to play, they won't be easy.

Problem is I really worry about our home games Vs Soton, Norwich and Wba. At home seems to be a massive concern for us form wise arguably more than away does.

To be fair, these teams could be more likely to ‘have a go’ which seems to have treated us well so far. The bad results have tended to be against those who have shut up shop from the off.

Obviously these sides would be well advised not to do what they may normally do and take note of how those who have beaten us have done it but you never know.

Only ourselves to blame, especially the 7 points dropped from win positions against Leeds and Ipswich

Yep. I worry that we have been sussed.

Those matches were late goals conceded, same as today.

At the start of the season it was us scoring the late goals. That's the critical difference.

Definitely - and this forum is a form of social media. It’s actually putting me off being a fan at times. Might have to pull the plug.

Season over I guess, time to start looking at who we could sign for next season in the Championship!

Yes we have thrown away a big lead over those below us, and that is dreadful

But the only reason we had that lead in the first place is because both Leeds and Ipswich have both gone through periods of poor form just like we are doing now

I can guarantee there will have been a lot of their fans at that time thinking they were throwing away chances of promotion like plenty of our own fans are doing right now

Main difference now however is that it is still entirely in our own hands, where as the others were having to rely on us dropping points to be able to catch up

I personally think we will still do it, nearly 2 weeks off now with the majority of the squad getting a break and we should be able to go into the Bristol game with a fully fit squad which we haven't had since before new year

I just hope that if we don't do it that those certain "I told you so"'s don't enjoy it too much

Of course they will. Some people on here genuinely love losing because they get to moan about x, y or z.

I thought it tended to go to the team with the most points after 46 games? As things stand we have won the most games yet drawn the fewest.  Yes, we have lost one more game than Leeds.

Lets knuckle down for a 9 game scrap.

Media tells us to expect. So people expect. It’s really not good for mental health for those of a more naturally negative disposition.

Thats because there were no platforms for expressing views. At all. The best available was to draw a picture of an angry face and post it to someone hoping it did not get lost on a steam train.

Yes. And I'm saying that it's not necessarily a good thing in terms of how much some of you enjoy watching football.

We had the biggest meltdown of all when a fan ran on the pitch and confronted our own goalkeeper.

Negativity has always happened, but the internet didn’t exist for you to see it.
