FrankieADZ Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 i dont envy Ipswich's run in, no game next week cos Cov have the FA Cup, then they have a 3 game week to finish the season

Championship is where it's at!!!! Is it any wonder nobody wants to go up? Look at the Man City/Luton game today. 5-1. 37 goal attempts to 4. Who wants any part of that? Totally uneven contest. And the gap between the haves and have nots will only get wider. Edited 13 April 2024 by SouthStandUpperTier 2
FrankieADZ Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 the 2 saves from Hladky for Ipswich today, my word, top draw both of them
Corky Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Had a shocking week yet ended up with the most points I didn't think the others would keep winning but never saw a three game week with no wins and one goal apiece. Huge chance missed for all three and just shows what pressure does.

Paninistickers Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Ipswich 7 takes them to 96 Leeds 9 (or 6, v saints) takes them to 93 or 96 Saints 15 (or 12 if lose to Leeds) 96 or 93 So, we need three wins. Tho two and a rare draw (v saints) would give us a fighting chance

Not only we're playing awful at the moment but I also can't see anything positive in going up. It seems we'll have points deduction making the season void from the beginning. We'll need 15 players, can't go with Faes and Vesty in PL, we'd better off putting cones as CBs, we'll need at least 2 strikers, a 10 and the list goes on. We might get points deduction in Championship but it's easier to recover in this league.
peterborofox Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 We're 1/9 for promotion and 8/15 for title Only we'd blow 1/9 1
FrankieADZ Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 just seen the Southampton winner, looked like it could well have been handball wish we got luck like that
UniFox21 Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Arguably one of the best years in th championship. But does highlight the issue with parachute payments
ian__marshall Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 2 wins and a draw should do it. Can't see 2 out of the 3 contenders taking maximum points from their remaining games. Still a big ask though for us given our form of late. Only thing that gives me hope is that we've got so many home games.

Number 6 Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Missing out on automatic promotion is not only bad for the obvious reasons, especially as I don't think we'd win the playoffs; it's also bad because I really wanna watch the playoffs as a neutral! Gonna be great fun watching if we're not in it, gonna be agony if we are.

blue blood Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 I think of it as a kicker to parachute payments, gives us an extra year to get our house in order, if we stay down the efl will throw the book and the kitchen sink at us. Atleast with one season in the prem we can regroup and start again. IMO we can go again sooner rather than staying down 1

Nobbyburton Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Southampton definitely getting the luck now. They’ve got away with 3 handballs before their goals this week.

Stuntman_Mike Posted 13 April 2024 Posted 13 April 2024 Was this spotted by anyone? Apologies if it's already in the Millwall thread. I guess he cares.. 4
