Japan are actually a quite good team now. Seem to have players cropping all over Europe and they've beaten Spain and Germany at the last World Cup. Funny result but get the feeling they've made real improvement.

Really smart coaching and organisation. Fitness has always been one of their strengths, they've really weaponised it over the last few years turning themselves in to an excellent counter attacking team.

A lot of international sides lack the coaching time and the cohesion to learn to break down a stubborn low block, we saw that at the last world cup, with a lot of smaller nations doing it.

But where as a Morocco will park the bus and rarely be able to get out, this Japan side have the energy and the pace to keep breaking all game and causing havoc. Not to mention a couple of genuinely excellent threats.

Billy Sharp scoring a late equaliser for LA Galaxy. Had no idea he'd moved there. Was convinced he'd retired.

I thought he was still at Sheffield United.

That transfer appeared to be quite a quiet one.

Ya bugger

The one good thing is that is was so obviously telegraphed that it allowed both players to minimise the chance of having their legs shattered into a million pieces.

The central Americans are built different lol

To miss one penalty is careless , twice awful but three times is appalling !

He does not take a  few steps of distance before ,  and can not hit strong.

I’m pleased for Harry Kane. Fair play and good luck to him.

Hope he finally wins a trophy. Was always going to score goals wherever he went. People talk about Haaland but Kane would get the same numbers in that Man City team.

Ajax v Feyenoord suspended. Ajax 3-0 inside the first half

The dutch are a strange breed, as laid back and liberal as they come but put them inside a football stadium......
