Came on for Jamie Lawrence after he knocked himself out in the League Cup win v Scarborough in 96. In fact I think we only signed him as cover for that game.

Maybe sub v Sheff Utd then I think it was the final game of the relegation season away to Stoke where he was a starter. 

 

On a technicality, those appearances were whilst on loan, he then signed permanently but wasn't used again so for that period he qualifies I suppose!

Apparently Mandaric signed him, only for Martin Allen to deny this (claimed that he didn't get notified about it) literally an hour or two later after being interviewed by Sky Sports.

 

Plus it was also alleged that Hasselbaink had a change of heart the day after this kerfuffle and soon left.

Yeh googled him and realised he played about 6 games. Genuinely didn't know he ever played for us
