He’s elite, and wouldn’t be with us if we got relegated.

Whilst not quite as good Jakub is a really good keeper. So if £50m in Jan meant all of it spent on 3 permanent and 2 loans for a striker, a CB, RB, CAM, and winger, I’d cash in now and wish him well

But then if jakub gets injured we have to play Ward.

I would say 2 keepers is plenty, they rarely injured and if they both were we would likely be allowed to make an emergency signing.

The problem of course we have a DoF who cant shift him or cant tear up his contract.

I think I’d have to include a loan keeper in that £50m!! Ward simply cannot play otherwise any plan fails

Weird that he was being monitored and touch and go for Wolves and Liverpool (?) but now is categorically ruled out of Man City a few days ahead (I suppose it is a short turn around rather than one weekend to the next).

Possibly the injury has worsened. Or we are happy with JS being back.

I don’t buy the January transfer stuff but it is weird how he seems to be getting further away from a return.

Genuinely just imagine we've practically written off Liverpool and Man City and just don't see the point in risking him getting injured any further.

They may even leave him out at Villa and then obviously QPR and bring him back in for Palace

Having the same thoughts. If he's not back for the Villa game, I'd start worrying he's pushing for a January move.

It will be because Stolarczyk is back. There’s no need to rush him back early for the sake of losing him for a full season. We rush him back and he gets a season ending injury, we would be in a mess.

Feeling like smokescreen for a sale now we’re apparently close to a PSR fail.

A sale in Jan won’t help our 23/24 accounts which is what we’re at risk of a sanction for this season .

Yes, but may provide the best return on his investment, and provided needed funds for other players.

Yeah but who's paying what we'd want in January

Nobody would pay what we want in the summer either. Our financial situation means anything we get is take it or leave it. As we found out over the last two summer windows, we're not in a strong position to negotiate.

Hence why we are in the market for a number 2 keeper, as cover for our current number 2

As our previous number 2 keeper was actual number 2.
