Don't remember Kasper, or to a point even Andy Impey or Frank sinclair getting much shit for it.

The difference they were winning games. Strange how that works.

That’s the difference they performed. In my opinion Winks hasn’t been outstanding, he did alright in the Championship but nothing special.

I wouldnt say Ruud is our worst ever manager because he’s probably been given the biggest sack of shit to work with out of any manager whatever his faults maybe. Taylor, Holloway will always be the worst by some distance due to 1 taking an established Premier league club back to championship round 1 and taking the club to the 3rd tier for the first time. I’d even say the demise of Rodger’s was worse. Coming into a shit team with shit players, shit coaches, no backing in the transfer window and doing shit is kind par for the course!

Honestly the best thing is a massive clear out, there’s a lot wrong at the club and it stems much further than a change of manager

Winks reminds me a bit of someone like Leon Britton if people remember him. He had a similar style of play. I think if the circumstances are built for him then he can be a useful player. If they're not, he's pretty hopeless. Maresca created a situation very beneficial to Winks. The club haven't and therefore it's been another pretty short-sighted signing.

1st and foremost we have to get out of the division & Winks will help with that regardless of manager.

We will regardless of style probably have more possession in most matches as many teams will just give it up as to not take a thumping, we will need players comfortable enough to receive, turn & play a pass he ticks all boxes, he will also aid those working along side him to be better, maybe that’s Skipp, then add in Ricardo I’m not sure we will need crash and thunder in CM but players who can do those 3 things.

I won’t cut my nose of to spite my face because he went and had drink in a pub garden during a game he wasn’t in the squad for and for all we know told to stay away 🤷‍♂️ so keep

Long time ago ,  but I'd have loved to escaped a crying baby for a night and stayed in a 5 star hotel , with probably a free bar.

Get the mum in law to help out.

He's not properly thought this through 😄

Well said. I'll bet he'd have a different reply now if asked the question again.  He'd probably walk to Seagrave to get away from the noise.

So Winks has beef with the guy that most will submit to the history books as being the worst manager we’ve ever had and can’t wait to see the back of, but Winks is the bad guy?

Why does it have to be one or the other?

RVN is a shit manager, the worst we have had. However, the one thing I’d give him any credit for is trying to instil a bit of discipline as this has been lacking since for years around this club.

Winks has refused and spends match days sitting having what looks like afternoon tea with his family and posting it on social media. He is unprofessional and uncommitted.

They are both shit. RVN out and Winks out.

In fairness, if he’s not required in the match day squad and hasn’t been told to attend, he can go and watch Spurs if he wants.

it is one thing to instil discipline, and another to demand something which is contrary to the players contract.  If they are not required by contract to stay at Seagrave, they cannot be compelled to do so.  Imagine your boss telling you to stay at your workplace once a week.  Its something which has to be agreed upfront imo.  Blown out of proportion.

We won’t be able to sell Winks. Who’s gonna pay 2.5m for him AND pay him 80K+ a week?

No one will wanna pay us money for him let alone cover his wages so IMO he plays a big part next season.

Ndidi will be off and Soumare has no place so yeah, Winks will be a key man for us next season.

Even if we get a new manager who  puts him back in the team will the fans accept him back?

I can imagine a lot of damage has been done and could see some booing when his name is announced.

It is it a case of a few decent performances and all is forgiven?

That’s always the case. If he comes back in and plays well, hardly anybody will care about his spat with RVN.

If your company was going down the shitter and you cared about them, you’d go above and beyond to help out.

Not if my wife was struggling and needed me at home.  And LCFC are not going down the shitter are they?  Not like his salary in on the line here.

I doubt the majority of match going fans are that bothered by this kind of thing with players tbh

We literally have Danny Simpson as the perfect example of this lol
