First one over to clap the fans after.

He is far from perfect and I don't like how he sulked either, but he must be ahead of Soumare and Skipp in the starting 11. Results are more important.

I will give Marti a pass today, but if we don't see Ricardo, Winks, James and (possibly) Faes starting the next game, then that is an early red flag for me.

Look, he might be great - but Winks is instrumental to us right now. It's no surprise practically everything goes through him.

I mean we will very likely end up with the two of them partnering and making each other look good. So we can both be right lol

Looking at both of them in that game, they both leagues ahead of the rest, that much is very obvious

It's bizarre he isn't starting now. I was fully behind it when there was a chance he could move. A move he looked like he wanted.

But the bar is that low with what we expect from the modern footballer that anyone with quality needs to play, despite his antics.

To not play him from the start now the window is shut is another Ruud-esque decision.

Build the team around Winks.

It's what Enzo did and we won the league.

And Ricardo.

To be fair to Marti I think he had to start soumare and skipp today after their performances against blues, both possibly as good as we have seen from them. Also I think not starting winks while he obviously wanted a move away from the club was the right thing to do.

Came over and clapped the fans at the end with the rest of the team. Hopefully this can be a fresh start for him.

He should have built this bridge at the start of the season with Ruud having departed. It is clear he's out best midfielder though and we look severely lacking without him, so hopefully he knuckles down and continues in this vein now and we can part ways next summer on reasonably good terms.

Irrespective of whether he wants to be here, may or may not be mardy, wants to sleepover or travel home… today showed he can be very very good in this division. His confidence to take the ball in tight spaces and create space for the team with a clever pass is a real asset. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us go with a 433 of Skipp, JJ and Winks next game.
