This bloke is a disgrace to the shirt. At one point in the first half we were breaking, when the back 4 got to the halfway line as a unit, Winks and Soumare were some 15 yards behind. Sums up how lazy they are.

 

A gutless indivdual who has clearly downed tools, add him to the growing list of players who shouldn't be anywhere near the squad.

Gudjohnsen drifted past him, for the first goal, with ease. Been seeing him let opposition players do this every week during his time here.

It’s weird- we thought a couple of games ago he’d found some passion and was putting in the effort, but he’s reverted back to old self again hasn’t he. That shot from the corner in the 2nd half was abysmal.

He's possibly the most fragile footballer I've ever seen. Fine when things are going well but as soon as there's a hint of adversity he disappears. Just a pussy frankly.

Did the exact same thing against Wrexham I think it was. Absolute shadow of the player he was - classic example of what happens when a player wants out.

He was brilliant against Hull and put a proper shift in then it seems that because he tried his best and we still lost that he's just thrown in the towel.

 

We really needed to shift him in the summer, it's frustrating because he can play well but his mentality and tendency to crumble under pressure is just pathetic.

We never learn when we have a player with a year left. We don't sell them, don't renew them so we have a disruptive and complacent player who can't wait to leave.

 

We've been relegated once in part because Rudkin can't manage contract expiration, it might happen again. We have two long term options and they're shit

He's right in the bomb squad for me if I'm manager. Another player who has taken the piss and been rewarded for it. Even given the captaincy on occasion.

 

What the hell does this club even stand for? There is not a jot of self-respect.

Over-rated Show Pony. Passes the bloody ball to the nearest player virtually every time then demands it back. Then does the same thing again. Get the impression he thinks it's the Harry Winks Show. Sad thing is that he's probably our best midfield player. Needs a Manager to rein him in a bit, unless he's creating some sort of tempo that Marti wants. Either way, he frustrates the hell out of me.

There's some genuinely very valid things to criticise Winks for, he's started making a lot more mistakes, his effort and application wasn't what it used to be, he isn't tracking runners particularly well, he hasn't been perfect at all. 

 

But what you're describing and complaining about is exactly what he's supposed to do and what he does well. 

 

He moves the ball around and moves it around quickly, he drastically increases the tempo of our play and he does it better than anyone else in the squad. 

 

We look significantly worse when he isn't playing because Skipp and Soumare simply cannot do it and the ball never gets out of midfield. 

 

Winks suffers enormously this year because the options in front of him are consistently terrible but he's still easily the best we have. 

 

If Cifuentes football has any hope at success (and wanting us to play a different way as a fan is perfectly valid, I'm not questioning that part) and he's the manager we have for now whether people like it or not, it needs Winks doing exactly that. 

 

We have to keep passing. As the saying goes, we don't pass to move the ball, we pass to move the opposition.
