No longer seems to be able to make the passes into midfield that he was making last season. Not sure if it's because we no longer have a system that opens up the space or PL players are just better at closing down the passing lanes. Made the pass through to Vardy a few times though.

I think winks being out for a few games has definitely made a difference, he’ll always try and make himself available for those passes and his football iq is miles ahead of any of our other midfielders (excluding BEK and facundo as they’re more offensive minded)

We weren’t playing that system as proactively under cooper so we are probably a bit rusty in switching back. Almost a case of relearning it. The premier league teams definitely press more aggressively but with confidence low players sometimes are less inclined to show for the ball. Winks makes a difference when he plays.

Ruud says he was hooked at HT because he was ill. I'm not buying that at all. Something kicked off in the changing rooms.

Hopefully berated himself for being so pathetic for the first goal. Never seen a player so big make it count so little in terms of strength and aerial dominance.
Don’t rate him at all

I'm confused over peoples opinions on Vestergaard.

So, under Cooper, he had a spell out of the team where there were a clamor of comments saying he was 'our best defender', 'best ball playing defender', 'needs to be playing', 'how dare Cooper fall out with him?!!'

Now, 'our worst defender', 'too slow', 'pathetic'.

Can't have it both ways.

Agendas, huh.

For me he’s our best footballing centre half, as slow as coady & less vocal but a better player. I was surprised that he was subbed but then when we heard from RVN that he pulled a sicky at half time and that explained it. I do wonder whether he would’ve felt unable to continue if we weren’t getting smashed and he didn’t have Ward behind him but I guess we’ll never know. Wouldn’t be surprised tho if his illness also takes him out of the Liverpool game too 🤔. Tbh I’m pretty sick of all of our defence and I guess the one thing we can look forward to next season in The Championship is seeing Ben Nelson get a season for us before he is poached by a Premier League giant like Brentford.

He's clearly not good enough for the Premier league, but he's the best we've got.

That’s probably where I am with this.

Our defence is that much of a problem that he seems about the best option.

I personally think if we get 2 better full backs the cb options aren’t too bad, not great at all but not too bad. They get so badly exposed by those around them.

The entire defence bar Mads is not up to this level,  Mads holds it together barely, with the clown in goal, it's a mess no matter who you pick from the current lot.

It might not be the same people sharing both views?

Maybe. Seemed pretty unanimous then and now.

He who shouts loudest I guess.

Bloke’s a twat.

Anyway who was in the away end at Legia would tell you that. He was apparently unwell yesterday, so why didn’t he pull out before kick off. Instead he makes a frankly awful error on the first game and then proceeded to completely lose his head.

His self importance is as bad as Faes at times. A really average player overindulged here

I was there. You're gonna have to remind me tho.

He missed a sitter. What else did he do?

Plainly refuse to clap the away support and ran down the tunnel on the final whistle

Bloke represents LCFC in a single phrase, spoiled brat

Teams last season just sat back giving him all the time in the world to ping a pass, now it’s the complete opposite. That’s said I don’t think it’s his passing that’s the concern it’s his speed and lead boots for jumping.

The back four could all do with replacing if the funds were available with James given until the summer.

Probably doesn’t like the finger being pointed at him and gives it back to the Manager! If he has pulled a

sicky at half time then that’s spineless. Or is that RVN subbing him following a row?

I reckon the latter, we know he gave some to Cooper. I don't think he's shy of speaking his mind, good on him I say.

It's a rolled out cliche that players short of confidence hide, and I'd say that certainly the case with some of our players. It was Vardy who was running towards our goal for the Vesty pass, when it really should be one of the midfielders, normally Winks job.
