He said that Exactly because he is that kind of team player to give Mavididi confidence because he is the captain. He was instantly frustrated at the time.

Vardy would have squared it for sure.

Probably but both are on different stratospheres in terms of ability., so I won’t pan Steph for not being Vardy

Not really a clean striker of the ball. Go back to his old videos. And it shows on there too.

I don't think it's decision making either. The guy, has a football brain.

If I was the coaching setup, I'd get him to try and pass the ball in the net, rather than shoot.

He showed some lovely skill tonight and was very good tracking back and helping out defensively. Looking like a real talent. The finishing will come…

He would but he's also a world class footballer who is a uniquely exceptional team player for a man who is in the Premier League 100 club.

Stephy Mavididi isn't and it isn't fair to expect him to be and it's great that Vardy is mature enough, wise enough and diplomatic enough to know and say that.

Yeah this is bang on.

Vardy 'the man' is just as astute and intelligent as 'the player'. What he said in the interview is PERFECT man management from a captain who very clearly realises that building confidence in the young lads is way more important than anything else. He's such an undrated fella in that regard. There is a selfish Vardy, that's how he's scored the goals he has a lot of times, but there is an utterly selfless Vardy when it comes to being a team mate and a leader.

I thought he was brilliant. I thought be was great when he came on against Hull too. He's clicked with KDH. I want the wingers to take on the keeper in 1 on 1's. I remember Daka squaring to Vardy against Leeds and everyone calling him out as weak because he didn't the keeper on.  Makes a lot happen. Many more assist and goals to come.

This guy is excellent right until the key moment comes. Very good at beating a man and seems to just know what to do.

Just as soon as it comes to making that pass/shot it's like rolling a 20 sided dice. Not just the decision making, but whether he actually makes a decent connection with the ball. Decision making and execution both vary wildly.

I'm all for having players that can create dangerous situations though, so he's a net plus for me. If he had the consistency on final product he'd already be in the Prem or a better team.

Was surprised he got MOTM but I guess in a game severely lacking any quality, you give it to the man with the best output stats.

Top performance on the whole. I do get the Barnes-like frustrations though in that he doesn't have the footballing brain at times. But unlike Brendan, hopefully Enzo can work on those weaknesses in his game

He's a more skilfull / tricky Barnes. Nice! But the jury's out on which of the two are thicker?

We are hoping enzo and his coaching staff can guide his football brain into a more optimal level, because everything else he has is absolutely fantastic.

I find it exciting that we might have unearthed a gem from the French league. As that field has been mined to death. Suggests the recruitment model is still a functioning and effective machine

He is a gem; just a very rough one, with guidance though he can truly be a top player. Like Mahrez coming to play with us in the championship could prove the making of him, he can learn and still put in good performances. Right now in the PL he wouldn’t get that chance to grow

He’s fun. But how he thinks he has the stature of goodwill to not pass the ball to Vardy is criminal, then to do it again 5 mins later

Vardy our greatest ever passes the ball for a tap in all day long. Needs to understand it’s about the team winning not him

That was a great opportunity squandered. But he did enough good for it to not be a problem. Still would have liked the extra goal though.
