Sad to hear. Deserves enormous credit for standing up the renegade Gang of Four and refusing Leeds to speak to Martin O'Neill. Not such a happy time appointing Tator Peeler and a leading part when we went into administration. But still has played a memorable part in Leicester City. RIP.

We'll never know if the Gang of Four would have done better job because it was pretty much down hill after that concluded.

But he oversaw some good stuff so RIP John.

We know they wanted rid of mon far too early so that's good enough for me. I like those memories better than slightly more financially secure but with Mike walker in charge. Plus the butterfly effect. If it wasn't for Epsom, we wouldn't have won the Premier league. Rip.

Didn't agree with all things on his watch, but a good decent man and genuine fan of the club.

Built an excellent business in Page & Moy - eventually online beat the travel companies into a pulp. HQ on London Road. Scores if not hundreds of staff based there bringing life to the local economy.

I went to school with his son, and went round their house once, on Knighton Grange Rd. He lived next door to David Gower!

RIP

Well, he was part of the club when we saw wonderful stuff happening and memories of Mon's time here. It was magical times when we got promoted ( playoff memories flooding back ) and we thought these were halcyon days for the club going on to finish tenth and winning the league cup and never dreaming we would go on to win the Prem and the F.A Cup after that. All of which he saw in his lifetime as a fan never mind being a former board member. He like me and all the posters on here was lucky enough to see what my Dad, Grandad, and great Grandad never got to see. when it's my time going over, I go like him with love for my club in my mind. R.I.P  John from one fan to another.

To be honest, I just supported Elson because The Gang of Four didn't support Martin. Remember buying shares to be able to vote against them. Lost them all when we went into Administration. Doubt I was the only one on Foxestalk either.

RIP John,

Some great memories of your time at the helm when MON was in charge. Won't mention the bus trip to Madrid in 1997.
